It occured to me yesterday that, assuming there really is some Archangels in the Temple freezers and they are reanimated, a certain group of people might not be overjoyed about being downgraded from Evil Overlords of Safehold to Angelic Errand Boys. Can you imagine Clynthan being ordered around and appreciating it ? I can't. I think he would do practically anything to stop something like this to happen.
What do you think ? -------------
'Oh, oh' he said in English. Evidently, he had completely mastered that language. |

That certainly is a thought. They've already got the precedent that arch angels aren't infallible. Clyntahn could definitely make the case that they were in error, and who could really stop him?

We know that certain archangels survived the blast of the nuclear device.
We know that Nimue's cave went undetected by Chichiro. We know that up till Narhman's death and going to VR, OWL (like most computers) wasn't offering information freely. Question: If there is another hidden cave, or caves, (put in place by friends of Shan-wei, and not kmown to Pei Kau-yung), could a PICA detect it if the PICA wasn'looking for it? Could it be Pei Shan-wei allowed Alexandria to happen like Coventry, England (of note, Churchill's private secretary and otbers tell a different story, claiming the target was unknown until the bombers flew over London). There are several areas unpopulated, or lightly populated, where such a facility might exist. Maybe, underwater. |

Except that if I am Archangel who has just come out of suspended animation, and want to take down Clyntahn, I am going to make sure I have superior firepower at hand. The easiest way might well be to call Clyntahn in to praise his handling of the crisis, whip out a 45 or the 23rd century equivalent (I hesitate to say blaster, because there is no textev for them, and even if they existed would Langhorne have allowed them to continue to exist), and shoot him n the head, and proclaim he was executed for offenses against God. ========================

I believe you will want to pull out your "Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator". |

Marvin, that seems somewhat excessive. The IQESM was for blowing up the earth, not for the removal of a pesky wabbit. ========================

Then it's either Marvin's ACME disintegrator ray-gun, or MIB's Noisy Cricket. I have wondered how ACME advoids lawsuits. |

The slight scratch-like line under ACME, That's the disclaimer in fine print, isn't it? (I was going to use findprint, but decided not to push my quota for the week.) |
