Hi just wondering if a date has been set for the release of Safehold Book 8? I have been waiting not so patiently for the release of this book. I have read everything David has written. :)

Book 8 is Hell's Foundations Quiver (HFQ) and we have been told the release date is (gasp) 1 Nov 2015 - so there is almost a year before you can satisfy your addiction (what - you say you're not addicted - why are you here?). If you want a preview, read the snippets (sticky post at the top of the forum) and then join he rampant speculation about what David has is mind.

I am here, but that doesn't mean that I am addicted. Just because I have read everything of his I own several times, some of which is in multiple formats, and that I am impatient for the next whatever book to come out, does not mean that I am an addict.

Recommendation: Set up war room with Safehold map. Replay known battles. Design advanced snowcraft for winter attacks on nations loyal to the CoGA. (This, in itself, does not have any bearing on one's addiction or sanity. (Provided you maintain health standards, etc.))

Not gonna happen. Macmillian (Tor's parent company) schedule is set and they are not going to upset that. And the contract for the books (for which they have (I am sure) thrown a considerable amount of money at RFC) undoubtedly precludes his self publishing the book early (since that might cut into sales when it is released). You should be grateful that RFC is permitted to snippet the book, so that you can at least get a taste of it before hand.
