2/3x + 56 = x - 11

2/3x + 67 = x

1/3x = 67

x = 201

201, if my math is correct.

And the math works, so we know the Havenite Senate has 201 members.

So..does that mean it has 201 systems, or 100 systems with two senators each (and one presiding officer), or some other division of numbers (or maybe a few senators chose not to vote, or were sick, or were back on their home planets).

So IMHO, it's between 100-201 systems.

Or not.

It mainly came into focus with Honor's unexpected pregnancy and how she couldn't have known that her implant expired. Considering that women don't continually produce eggs the way men produce sperm it would be interesting to figure out how prolong extends (or doesn't as the case may be) a woman's fertile years into the 100s (as evidenced by Allison's successful pregnancy).
