I just finished relistening to At All Cost.
I was wondering why Alfred did not design Honor's trick finger to unscrew and be easily replaced. A little box of fingers would not take up too much space. Maybe Alfred was in denial about her ever needing to use it. |

Perhaps it was because it was hard enough getting the finger to work as both a finger and a gun and look like her old hand without trying to make it removable as well. The thing is a wonder. --------------------------------------------

-------------------- It is removable -- at a target range Honor removes the tip before shooting. The issue at hand is that the "finger pulser" is a "last ditch, emergency weapon" -- as such you are not concerned about the effect on the tip; that part IS replaceable. Second issue -- you don't want to advertise that "the finger" is a weapon. Third -- this gives a new meaning to "giving someone the finger", but Honor is too classy to phrase it that way. -- Stewart |
