Even after she acknowledged something akin to, paraphrasing, "at least when Klaus decides he likes you he goes all out in your corner." Or something similar.

cthia, good question. Klaus, simply due to his nature, will probably never be a 'nice guy'. But he is a man who clearly understands responsiblity, honors his commitments, and loves his daughter. Like another complex character (John Chandler Simpson of the "Ring of Fire" series), he may never be beloved, but he is one to be respected.

And I think we all know people like that.

Excuse you. John Chandler Simpson is extremely beloved.

While the MWW has done a fair share of Heel-Face turns (see TV tropes if you don't get it), I can't see Chakrabarti getting a major role in the Military campaigns ahead. As mentioned above, he seems to have been mostly a bureaucratic Admiral rather than a Ship-borne one, and despite his resignation on principal, he is still a member of the Opposition and is presumably opposed to many of the actions of the Alexander Administration.

I see him as a "talking head" on the more erudite news programs (not the Star Kingdom Today) defending the Conservative position. He may even one day become leader of a new (and hopefully not as backward-thinking) Conservative party.

IMHO as always. YMMV.

Minor nit: Chakrabarti was a liberal, not a Conservative, sounded like a pretty moderate, non-ideological one.

His personal views were not mentioned, I thought, but he had relatives or in-laws in both the Liberal party (though his relative there joined Montaigne's faction) and the Conservative Association.

Personally i'd like confirmation of Ginger Lewis and Aubrey's fate's, both where assigned with Pablou to wayland but where's i think we have confirmation Pablou was part of the research staff as apposed to the station staff, where not clear on those two so we don't know if they where dirt side when Oyster Bay happened.

I would actually like to know what happened / will happen to Aleksandra Tonkovic. Now I cannot say that I actually liked her as a character all that much since she was an arrogant, bigoted, and short sighted, self important little prig. However she did have a certain misdirected courage and conviction that struck a certain cord with me (a bit like a car crash in that respect), even if it was for a foolish and self-aggrandizing reason.

Basically I would just like a little clip somewhere were we learn when she realizes that her last little act of self defiance (resigning Kornati presidency) will never achieve what she wanted and that all the peoples she derided as unimportant are now the future for her planet.

In the same way I would like similar scenes were we see some other self important idiots like Damián Dueñas getting their just deserts. (Sue me but I do get a little thrill when bastards get their comeuppance).

His name is Paulo D'rezzo. Wanderman did survive he was mention in passing as being in the same classroom as Paulo when that LT got his head handed to him.

Hi Saber964,

Wasn't it Lewis who handed it to him?

Hi Don,

The obvious salvation of the Conservation Association will be Oversteegen.

Of course he may make what Cathy Montaigne did to the Liberals look like a simple "shave and a haircut", not a major makeover. ;)

It would be fabulously fun to watch if it were critical to the stories 8-) , but RFC has too much to write right now as it is.

Darn it. ;)

Nope:

Mission of Honor wrote:"I, uh, didn't see you there, Commander McGillicuddy," he said.

"No," Commander Anastasia McGillicuddy agreed pleasantly. "I don't suppose you did. However, I was just passing through when I heard what sounded remarkably like a raised voice. I was down at the end of the hall, you understand, so I wasn't completely certain that was what I was hearing. I decided to find out."

Her smile was as pleasant as her tone, but her brown eyes were cold, and the much taller and bulkier Berkeley seemed to shrink slightly.

Thanks for the spelling correction, without booting up my reader i couldn't remember for sure what the spelling is, have that issue a lot.

Also i totally missed Wanderman being in that scene, thanks.

Was also nice to read earlier in the thread where Babbock has got to. Something about her and Harkness is just adorable, wish we'd get a few scene's of them together.

I'd also love to know a bit more of what happened between Adrienne and her father after the short story and weather they ever fixed that poor guy they programmed to be the assassin. Where going to get a lot from her time as queen, but unless a main character becomes involved with her where not likely to find out much about the intermission and what happened in there and the people involved.
