:-( :-(
maybe snippet rate should slow down to 1/month or we will run out of book - unless it's a really massive book :-)

Novemberm 2015!!!

Get a life . . . There must be some mistake!! I can't believe the publisher, who has had the final manuscript for months, is saying it is still more than a year before HFQ hits the shelves. That's rediculous.

I don't care what McMillen says, I fully expect to see HFQ out next spring. My guess is that BAEN is deliberately giving out a spurious long date so that when they release it next spring we'll all be greatly and pleasantly surprised.

If I really believed it would be more than a year, I would give up on the series, stop blogging, and drop out of the web site. It's hard to sustain enthusiasm without a reasonable frequent addition the the series. It's not a series if we only get a volume every year and a half!

While that date may be in error, from what I've heard about publishing November 2015 may have been the earliest that TOR could put it into their schedule.

Publishers often have their publishing schedule "set up" months in advance even over a year in advance.

Note, I WANT IT NOW!!!!

Baen has nothing to do with the Safehold-books, it's all Tor/Macmillan.

"Not a series if we only get a volume every year and a half"? That is ridiculous.

There were two years between volumes 5 and 6 of Harry Potter, and again between volumes 6 and 7. There were two and a half years between volumes 7 and 8 of the Wheel of Time series. There were three years between volumes 10 and 11 of the Honor Harrington series, and five and half years between 11 and 12, with a four year gap of no Honorverse books at all.

And by the way, Baen doesn't publish the Safehold books. Tor/Forge does. They publish a lot more than Baen, and have a longer lead time between submission and publication.

I want it now :!: :!: BAAAH BAAAH

I can deal with my disappointment if I get to read about King Roger or Steadholder Honor getting to wring some necks in the interim. May RFC/MWW and family enjoy health and good fortune in the meantime.

I wonder if such crying from us fans gets on RFC's nerves like a kid in the back seat constantly asking "are we there yet." Not that I would not be over joyed with more books now either.
