Yes, yes Veruca. Daddy and mummy will take care of it.

I still think the SL book should be "House of Cards". :)

Yeah, would be fine. But not really realistic, imho. On the other hand - for a fight between David Weber and George R.R. Martin about the right to use the title you could probably sell a whole lot of tickets, couldn't you? (especially, if they're ready to do the clash in a boxring and not in court) ;)

But imho, the SL Book will be "House of Mirrors" (iIrc) - so - no chance to sell tickets :(

just finished the rising thunder... third time, need a new fix. A "call to duty" was a good book, but somehow i can't warm up myself to whole prequel thingi... Knowing what already will come out of this whole ungodly mess in the end, takes a lot of tension out of the experience.

I've been waiting 16 or 17 years for one author to finish a story. Unfortunately he died 2 years ago but I still hold some hope.

Yes, David's deal with Tor is better than what Baen
can give him. That's why he sold Safehold to Tor.
That's why he gives them a Safehold book each year,
before he schedules anything else.
Tor is a much bigger company; they have more money.

I just wonder if David's deal with Tor is better right now, since it might explain why he's cranking out Safehold novels with nary a follow-up to A Rising Thunder in sight.
