Enlisted member of the command crew.

Mid rank, 2nd class petty officer.

After Kau-yung took out most of the senior command staff, those remaining reprogrammed the junior members of the command crew. Especially if they were questioning why the Armageddon attack took place. Their original memories would have been destroyed like what was done with the Adams & Eves.

When Kohdy was captured, he wasn't reprogrammed, but was shown the truth. While his original memories were gone, his personnel record was available and thus decided to relearn Spanish.

textev hints at that the crews memory only was scrubbed of knowledge of technology.

RFC posted in the thread "Langhorne's big mistake", you can find the post here. Look for "option A" and "option B".

Thanks Joat, I had not seen that before.

However, that doesn't change the possibility of what I suggested. I stated that their memories may have been further altered after most of the senior command staff was killed. What MWW stated was that those that chose option A had their tech knowledge erased prior to the attack, or would have if they had gotten that far in the process.

Also, reading what is in the referenced post, kind of helps my theory somewhat, given the mental state of the unaltered human race.

Of course. Good catch. And only our esteemed author would hide that easter egg.

Hm! Just notice:

For that matter, after talking with him, Kohdy had come to question whether or not Langhorne himself had loosed the Rakurai on Armageddon Reef.

Armageddon Reef had insisted it was Chihiro and Schueler who’d turned to evil,

May we assume that it wasn't Langhorne who ordered the attack on Alexandria (or at least not on scale, that actually happened)? Was it possible, that he was double-crossed by Chihiro and Schueler who started all this to get rid of both Shan-Wei and Langhorne and their followers?

No, we can't assume that at this point. Nynian's story in some ways seems to contradict the recording from Commodore Pei Nimue heard when she woke up. Pei assumed Langhorne did it, after all. To resolve the "whoduunit" question, we need more info.

Hi Guys

I wonder ???

[Quote from Snipper #5]
“We don’t know. The Order of Saint Kohdy — the Sisterhood’s parent order — was formed when his body was returned to his family. It was created and charged with preparing and maintaining his tomb, just as other orders had been charged to do for many of the other fallen seijins, ...
[End quote]

?? Will RFC tell us about any OTHER Sisterhoods that were formed to maintain other fallen seijins ??

?? Comments ??

Unless there is something "special" about such orders, they may be mentioned only as background info.

While we don't know how many seijins existed, it's very likely that there were many such orders and some may exist at the current Safehold time.

But IMO it is unlikely that David Weber will have many more such "secret Brotherhoods/Sisterhoods".

Of course, I could be wrong.
