While I'm waiting for HFQ to get published I was thinking on what title the next book will have.

I think the quote below is kind of fitting.
Ephesians 6:10-18 (NIV) wrote:
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Armor of God is a good title, but only time will tell.

Let the speculations rampage wildly.

There's "Yet Saints Their Watch Are Keeping" as a possible title.

It's from the song "The Church's one foundation" which has been a source for other Safehold titles.

Considering the prophesied "Return of the Archangels", it's even more interesting. :D

Oh David Weber had commented about using "Yet Saints Their Watch Are Keeping" as a title but he may have changed his mind. ;)

Ah, I've totally missed that some of the titles where derived from that hymn.

But I guess he will surprise once more.. :D

I've always been partial to a phrase from A Mighty Fortress Is Our God:

One Little Word Shall Fell Him

or maybe...

Above All Earthly Powers

Other interesting title possibilities from The Church's One Foundation:
By Water and the Word
His New Creation
A Scornful Wonder
The Night of Weeping
The Morn of Song
On High May Dwell

and for a finale:
Peace Forevermore

If I might switch hymns a moment, I've long thought "Burnished Rows of Steel" would make a fine Safehold title.

something that is slightly off-topic, but that I've often wondered about, is the change in title style from book 1 'Off Armageddon Reef' to the subsequent titles.

I must say that OAR is a brilliant title; and something I noticed recently was how it parallels the first of the Honor series:

Off Armageddon Reef
On Basilisk Station

that urgent first word, a sense of threat in the second word, and the sense of location in the third :-)

back to main subject... 'not against flesh and blood' might be quite apt

I think any of these would work for the final book. A reawakened Safehold building up to fight the Gbaba would make sense as Merlin's new creation. "On High May Dwell" would also make sense for humanity returning to the stars.
