I would like to recommend a book:

The Martian by Andy Weir.

It is essentially Robinson Crusoe on Mars, but quite well written and keeps you guessing right until the end.

Well worth the time to read.

I strongly second this--bought it based on an interview with the Author on NPR, and couldn't put it down. Very good hard-SF with logical twists and very well-plotted.
