Who knows?

Perhaps Merlin will take a 'real' flesh wound for Nynian, to prove he's human and bleeds, or whip out his short sword, or wakazashi, as in "That's not a knife, now that's a knife!" 8-)

Gee thanks for telling me it will April or later for me to even think about to getting HFQ ... goes off and sulks
BTW Lyonheart cannot believe you would want to quote Croc Dundee ...

Well, Paul Hogan does do a nice job there. Even better are the looks on the wannabee's faces as he casually slices open the jacket of the larger one...

Although Merlin might well nigh be 'indestructible', the time neccessary for repairs would ,IMO ,seriously impede his mission - although, with Nimue in the mix now I suppose it wouldn't altogether derail things while he,ah, 'got himself together' so to speak.

With Nimue having been created, did that use up the parts that Merlin might need to repair himself if he was damaged? OWL did say building another PICA would deplete several materials that his industrial node was not able to replace.

I think the key here is the difference between parts and materials. Owl can fabricate parts if he has the needed materials. We do know that some of the needed materials fell below the critical level when he manufactured Nimue. What we don't know is if the depleted materials can be restocked from sources on Safehold.

Hi Don,

From the textev, Merlin doesn't need the industrial module to repair his PICA even if it were badly damaged, although using it for some repairs would probably be faster.

When it comes to biblical quotations for a war situation I prefer Hosea 8 verse 7

(As frequently quoted by Air Marshal Sir Arthur (Bomber) Harris, when queried about his tactics)

Hi Lyonheart,

I was refering to building another PICA. But I suspect that the nannites would need many of the same materials to repair an existing unit. But I'm not really sure how that would work.
