Were there ever any nicknames given to any of the Harringtons?
If so, I hope they were along the lines of "Sally" instead of ...um ... "Hairy." "Hairy Harrington" just sounds so ... disrespectfully lewd err crude. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

Hmm, Fast forward to the 1960s PD Raoul names his son, Moonunit Harrington.
A crossover Fan-Fic where a Star Wars Wookie comes to the Honorverse, "Harry and the Harringtons." Raoul's treecat's new name, "Leg-Humper." Poker

I'm sure that all of the Harrington class have knicknames except for one -- I can't imagine any Grayson thinking or allowing any knickname for the GNS Honor Harrington that was in any way derogatory; they might go so far as to refer to the ship as "Milady" but never as just "the Harrington." .
. . Answers! I got lots of answers! (Now if I could just find the right questions.) |

That could infer a Freudian slip of sorts ... "May I board Milady?" That could get you a royal armsman's beating, if he weren't privy to the nickname. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. I wonder if man has found the source of the "Andromeda Strain."

****** * Revisiting this unlikely band of vigilantes... "Oh no, I knew we shouldn't have gone off all half-cocked looking for the MAlign. Now we're surrounded by all of these mean looking genetically engineered creatures. What are we going to do now?" asked the Gremlin. Somehow finding himself the leader of this outnumbered army of four, the treecat quickly found an answer. He turned to the healthy hexapuma and cut him fiercely with his claws. The peak bear, ever trusting the treecat, did the same, further injuring the strongest of their own ally. Before the befuddled and panicked Gremlin could complain, behind his back there was a huge commotion and screaming. When the Gremlin turned around, the hexapuma had killed all of the Crazy 88. "What happened?" asked the Gremlin. "There's nothing more dangerous than a wounded hexapuma," said the treecat. "Damn straight," said the peak bear recalling a similar experience.
