Something's off with the rank list. According to yours I should be a Captain JG but I'm a Commander

I think that's the old promotion list, Rogue. It now takes 1,000 posts to make it to Rear Admiral, and I think at least 1,500 to Vice.

That was the old rank list.
When too many people started becoming full admirals, the ranking system got re-done.
I lost a couple of ranks to it, myself.

Still think there should be extra medal icons for things like appearing in a Weber book or running missions for Weber (Duckk would have one instantly)...

I can't write anywhere near as well as Weber
But I try nonetheless, And even do my own artwork.

The current ranking system is listed in the post Kbus888 put together here.

Something about that image just gets to me. The fact that I want to cuddle the cranky admiral probably doesn't say much for my sense of self-preservation, though....

ahaha don't worry I sort of have the same reaction as well everytime Khumalo appears.
Or, Alfredo... or Caslet... or... ok, I have a long list!

    *passes some chocolate*

....I think we really ought to compare lists sometime. I suspect they'll be startlingly similar.

And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in whom Khumalo induces a "cuddle the admiral" reaction! He really is delicious, isn't he? All grumbly and stolid and patient and snarky and unexpectedly brilliant. Just... GIMME.

Khumalo brings to my mind the phrase ...
"We have awakened a sleeping giant."

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Last time I had a HH book marathon I compiled a list of all the characthers I liked. It's long. Very long.

Also, I have a cuddle reaction towards Alfredo in this scene
"Alfredo Yu, for his part, had seated himself at the writing desk and was idly doodling on a sheet of paper with an old-fashioned stylus."

I loved him from the first time he appeared in the books. I had a feeling he was going to be an amazing character, and I was not disappointed.
But then I read that above mentioned passage and the fluff hit me

    From ART.

"I remember my father saying true leadership isn’t the ability to accomplish the things you plan on; it’s the ability to cope with the things you never in a thousand years saw coming.” She smiled a bit raggedly. “I seem to’ve been getting a lot of practice at that lately."

Right on, Beth, right on. I'm glad we got a short story about Roger because he was an awesome King.
