I think that Evergreen should get all the members of BuNine to play cameo roles. After all, when the book Hogfather was turned into a film, they got the author (Terry Pratchett) to play the toymaker.

So if RFC were to make a cameo, whom should he play? Raoul Courvosier? Possibly Klaus Hauptmann? :D
Or just some no-name guy walking down an aisle on Hephasteus station or somewhere?

The janitor. :)

Stan Lee did it.

(And I'm reminded of Babylon 5. They frequently showed maintenance crews in the background working, moving things, and sweeping odd devices across the floor. One of the most enjoyable episodes was one shown from the viewpoint of two of those maintentance guys, cleaning and fixing things during the course of (yet another) long crisis. At one point, one of them points to the device he is sweeping across the floor and asks, "What do these things do, anyway?" The other fellow says, "I don't know.")

Given that Weber writes the Honorverse, would that make him an Almighty Janitor? TVTropes link alert

They had him playing a Hugh hefner character, and tony stark even calls him hugh.

Hugh Hefner is the Playboy man, who owns the brand, products, and mansion.

How about a cameo as Alistair McKeon's XO, Lieutenant Mason Haskins?

He is only seen in one scene (the conference in chapter three, the day before the convoy's arrival at Yeltsin's Star), and no physical description is given.

As far as the movie goes, so as long as there are no cut-scenes to Troubadour's AuxCon during the battles, all David would have to do is to sit still, try to look competent, and not fidget. Well, and keep his trap shut, which admittedly may be a challenge, taciturn he ain't  , while Cap'n Harrington and Admiral Courvosier lay down the law for this latest government junket.

Hey folks, anyone already made any inspired suggestions for duke of Cromarty?

Dogma was on cable this morning and it struck me that Alan Rickman would make an awesome prime minister to Liz.
I know it is probably unfeasible, but dang if it would not be... dunno even what a proper word would be.

That has me thinking who would play Denver Summervale if Alan Rickman is the Duke of Cromarty. They look quite similar in the text.

Also tough casting pair if the series gets that far - Baron High Ridge and Michael Oversteegen.

Ahhh, I think he'd be an amazing High Ridge. He's always been one of my favorite bad guys in film.

"Why?"

"Because it would hurt more!"
