When i was able to walk again after my neck was broken 3 years had passed and i was up to 500 lbs (yeah there are pictures to prove it) but like you i had reduced the calories and started exercising more and more,(slow and painful process there) and i have gotten my weight down to roughly 375 and i am still trying to lose weight. rough part here is getting over my habit of binge eating when i am really lonely and depressed. While i have done this on sheer determination and without a need for a spiritual assist, not everyone wants to do it like i do and i encourage everyone to walk their own path. Some of my exercises is going into water and running in place for hour and half to 2 hours along with other exercises at same time. Since most of my vertebrae are damaged and i feel pain all the time i have to do this path. Luckily i found a path where i can accomplish this and i encourage everyone to find their own path.

5'10", 215 pounds.

I have a bit of a gut because I am slowed down by arthritis and cardiac issues. However; I can still avulse the head and legs of full grown bull elk.

One thing I have found useful in addition to diet and exercise is to take yoga. It helps reduce stress and improves the flexibility of your muscles and joints. Nowadays there are all kinds of yoga studios, and lots of different choices (if you are a newbie do NOT go straight into hot yoga). Yoga is also much less stressful on your body than taking martial arts, although that is also a good way to get many of the same benefits, and learn focus and concentration.

You can even buy DVD's or books and teach yourself Yoga in your own home if you like.

Enjoy

Tai chi and even dancing alone where no one can see and giggle. Even a little every day. Helps the moods too. :)

Several weeks have gone by since my sister was discharged from the hospital. I took her to lunch and explained I was concerned that she was killing herself with her lifestyle choices. Next, I told her that I loved her and hope she would make the necessary changes to improve her health. However, I support & love her. As a result, I will never speak on this issue again because change has to come from within. FYI: I love my sister without doubt and I am attempting to show the love and support that she showed me about 5 years ago. I had gotten hurt and basically lost my job due to severe spinal compression. I owe a debt that can never be fully repaid!

It's funny I went through boot camp and military service never once touching Tabasco sauce. Today, I put a little on burrito and I absolutely loved it. All those MRE's that I had eat while in the Army could have made bearable by Tabasco sauce. I guess old dogs can actually learn new tricks. My ex and my current wife have both said that I would love it and to my dismay they are right! Writing this email and publicly acknowledging that they are both correct is extremely irritating.

The Devil's Revenge, my wife turns from sweet loving angel into a mad lust driven demon when her period arrives! Josh (her son) has learned why we go fishing all day when it is that time of month. It's funny, all the honey-do's get done, I'm fishing, and/or I'm working at the office. Normally, my wife and I never fight but all bets are off when it's that time of month because of the hormones raging within her body. She normally spends a couple of days barricaded within the Master bedroom. It's funny because I do not scare by other people but she absolutely terrifies me when she is on the warpath due to the Devil's Revenge.

183 lbs....whooaahhh! The problem I have now it seems that I really get cold easily. Whether it's from having the ceiling fan on medium or high or drinking a glass of ice water, I seem to get cold really easily. My hands and feet seem to get unnaturally cold. The only reason that could be happening is due most of my blubber being gone. Anybody have this type of problem?

Or, your body thinks you're starving and is trying to conserve energy.

That's truly evill...LOL...I just hit 180 lbs. My weight loss is really weird because I will lose weight really fast and then stablize at a certain weight. No matter what I do, I just stay at that weight. Then all the sudden here comes 10 to 15 lbs of weight loss. Boom! It's like magic and weight peels off. Here is the the sad thing...I just bought all new clothes (size 36 inch waist and now I going to have new clothes because it's too big. Goodwill just loves me for regular donations! Now, I get to here about the extra money being spent on new clothes...my wife says I am worse than our stepson in that regard! The good results according to our local MD or aka the witchdoctor, my body internally is like a 30 year old. No sign of diabetes Type 2! Liver healthy...yeah no alcohol! Got rid of the candy bar habit and now it's just regular sodas (got rid of diet drinks because of chemicals within them). Oh and I need
to get rid of cafeine. When I was clearing out my sock/summer shorts drawer, I found a 50 inch pair of shorts and I think I found a 52 inch pair of shorts.

This whole episode started when I had hit rock bottom and chose a new direction for my life!
