merlin can not get too close to the temple, but using an advanced gun, can he hit the windows with paint bullets?
how would the inquisition react to getting multi colored paint on their perfect views. Seeing as the building was made from advanced material i doubt they ever had the need to clean the windows before.

we know he can get too close, but can he spy through the windows, recording imagry and using a lip reading programm. or a laser to pick up vibrations from the windoes.

IIRC, the Temple doesn't actually have any windows, rather whoever built it used cameras and viewscreens for fake windows.

There are windows in the temple. The third book starts out with Mr. Grand Inquisitor and his adjutant having a meeting in his apartment where it is remarked that his bed is right in front of the windows.

Interesting idea, but how does Charis fight the rumors that demonic forces have tried to desecrate the temple?

IIRC, there's also nanotechnology constantly cleaning and polishing the interior and exterior of the temple.

SO they cant mess with the windows, cant they lip read or use that laser system to surveil the rooms?

I had this idea to mess with the windows, what if they secretly build a catapult which fling rubbish and refuse on the temple roofs and interior, or simply arrange for a very high over flight and dump garbage on them.

Zion is the personall responsibility of the church, it is the city. Imagine what would happen if the infrastructure was sabotage, their water works, the sewer lines
