I wanted to pick up on the up thread comment about Honor and Rivka; when we see Honor helping the whole marriage preparation thing with Rivka they are clearly already close - but I don't recall any part of the narrative that explains how they got to know each other?

I get the sense that a lot of happened off-screen during the time that they were planning and preparing for the wedding. Now that Honor is not on active operations she has more time to spend on Manticore with her family and friends. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

It was either he or Le Pic who in AoV was musing that he basically didn't retire to civilian life because he didn't want to deal with what StateSec thought of people who quit and/or to abandon his charge. Wouldn't be surprised if he just quietly went back to whatever he was doing before the revolution. |

Honor and Mark Sarnow!
It was the first time we'd seen her operating as part of a larger task force under someone else's command, and frankly, he was the perfect CO for her. I would dare to say that a good thirty percent of what she knows about being a great commander, she learned from Sarnow. He was amazing, and I know he's tied up in Silesia, but I'd love to see those two together again. ...now can we meet his husband?? ~*~

You know who needs to form some kind of relationship with a Manticoran be it platonic or otherwise? Molly DeLaney, Tourville's chief of staff. She is the subject of Tourville's thoughts a couple of times and after the GA is formed she has an almost Honor-like focus on finding the Mesan bastards who instigated everything and tearing them a new one. She definitely got damaged along the way and needs a strong bond with the ex-enemy to start the healing process.

And I think Andrea Jaruwalski would be the perfect answer. ~*~

I would opt for Mercedes Bingham(if she doesn't end up with Tom Theisman, which is my current opinion). *Dear Zeus, she's got me doing it....* ***********************************************

Firebrand and the Neobarbs. A give and take tit for tat interactions. With oneside always three steps ahead and the other always playing catch up. Playing catch up very well, but catch up none the less. Although one could say the intelligence services are perhaps the weakest links in the Honorverse. Or perhaps that is just the naval perspective that dominates the Honorverse.

Honor and Chien-lu Anderman. Their relationship is so interesting. It also took a great deal of work on both sides to form and be maintained considering that long stretches of time occurred between meetings. Their actions and conversations were memorable enough that despite the time lapses between face to face meetings they still were able to forge a strong relationship based on mutual trust and respect.
