Hi again some of you have suggested that I post some written work online, you see I don't get that far in writing.

Mr Aeon and 16th Century Fantasy series, are what I want to currently write about.

If George R Martin can write about Knights and the War of the Roses I can Write about the Reformation and Renaissance,

If it's original fiction (which it sounds like), then get an account at FictionPress.com so that you can post completed chapters for reviews and constructive criticism. I've done something similar, being on both FictionPress and FanFiction.net as shown by the links in my current signature.

I also do cut-and-paste art at deviantART, but that's only slightly linked to my advice.

If you are wishing to be a writer, then read, read, read! Read all the great authors and think about how they set things up. Check sites like TVTropes for hints and tips (warning, will consume hours as you struggle to escape). Listen to interviews with authors to get a feel for how the publishing world works and the pitfalls to avoid.

When writing your story, keep a separate character list showing not just the names but also things like vital statistics, affiliation, fave weapons (if applicable) and keep referring to it to make sure your character doesn't suddenly act out of character. Draw maps, even if no-one else sees them, and use them to work out approximate travel times and how countries fit together. Remember that any hourglass-shaped country will quickly be turned into two smaller countries by its neighbors striking at the narrow point, so think about how things are to be set up.

Research. If it's oriental, make sure that you have the right oriental flavour. Chinese and Japanese cultures may have exported some concepts to each other, but they are very different. Research mythology and psychology. Check history so you don't accidentally slip between centuries.

As you can see from this partial list, becoming a professional writer is very hard work with no real guarantee of massive riches. In fact, the average annual income of authors in the UK is around 11k. You can get the same by stacking shelves! More, if you work the night shift.

This isn't to say that you should give up, though. If you have a good concept and are willing to work for it, to improve yourself in order to write better stories, then go for it and prove that you can do it!

Now for my final piece of advice.

Believe in yourself. You have the potential for greatness.

Good luck.
