Hmm used Don Knots as one of the mice:

Now how about a Lemur that looks like Don Knots:

The epilog of Deadly Shores has a two stack four twin turret French Nazi battleship, probbly the Lorraine. Here is one of the French float planes types she carried a Potez 452 compared to a PB-1B 'Nancy.' As no length was given for the Nancy I had to use cockpit length to put both at close to the same scale, not exact, but probably close.

I went with a lighter blue for the Poltex 452 as the Mediterranean Sea is a lighter blue than the Pacific Ocean and of course put the French Nazi emblem on the tail as a guess at their livery.

Enjoy, Poker

Anyone else notice that the Grik have quite a resemblance (tactically speaking) to the Posleen?

Not that I know of. By the way, showing my ignorance, who are the Posleen, and from what book?

Here's Chack Sab-At finished:

And for Arol another topless Tabby, Tabby and Isak in Walker's boiler room toasting the garnd order of Mice, sorry no Don Knotts.

--SNIP--

The Posleen are a race of egg-laying centauroids in the Legacy of the Aldenata series by John Ringo. They are effectively a two-tier race with fully-sentient "God-Kings" directing the semi-sentient normal Posleen. They exist almost purely to reproduce, devouring everything that they come up against.

The Posleen's combat tactics start out as "Attack, ttack, Attack!" but after they keep getting their asses handed to them by humans, they slowly evolve until a certain revelation changes things completely.

I just thought that there were quite a few similarities.

Of course, Grik don't have spaceships...

Finally picked up the newest book.

Although I'm quite impressed, I must point out that the scene with the crossbreed Lemurian/Humans was quite jarring as biology doesn't work that way!

Note that I have nothing against the concept of consenting sentients in a relationship, it's the flaunting of the basic rules of biology (DNA etc) that irks me.

At least with Star Trek, they pulled an "Ancient Astronaut" combined with "Meddling God-like Beings" to explain why humans could interbreed with beings from other planets. Destroyermen has yet to offer any idea as to how two individuals from widely differing branches of the mammalian family could produce viable offspring.

Other than that, great series (although not quite up to Weber standards).
On, and the Destroyermen TVTropes page can be found here.
