We keep on chewing the same snippets and factoids over and over again. It's the literary equivalent of boiling our boots and belts. What makes it worse though, Is that we know that there's a hot meal (metaphorically speaking, that is ) being cooked up for us. Sure, we could wait for the whole delightful smörgåsbord to go dancing playfully across our mental pallets, but I, for one, have never had a problem with snacking, as long as you eat at supper time. I had always admired the fact that RFC seemed to feel the same way, and what's more, that he would often feed the hungry for free (metaphorically again, I don't think he actually runs a soup kitchen, though if he does, I'll pinch hit for him so he can finish writing his next book ) by making certain of his works available in electronic format without DRM software. It was that very charitable attitude that caused me to buy so many of his books.
All of which is my way of begging RFC to please PLEASE give us a few pages of his next book! I'll settle for a paragraph, or heck, a few sentences. A sonnet? A limerick? A swift kick to the shin? Something? .

Heck, I'd be happy just to see some evidence he's even reading these comments anymore. Pretty much all his comments the last six weeks or so have been in Honorverse section.

Don't Panic. (Where's that nice big friendly font?)
No doubt the next book will be leaked like it's stored in a seive when RFC thinks it's ready. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Even an estimated publication date would be something. The book must be about finished now, though maybe not to hand-in standard. Given the long lead times and extensive schedules publishers have, there must be a planned publication date by now. If not, we aren't seeing the book till next spring

Yep, the MWW loves those short snippets that send us off after the Wild Wyvern.

I was musing about how funny it would be if RFC came out to my house just to kick me in the shin I wouldn't even be mad. I'd be impressed and a little honored that he took the time out if his busy schedule to kick *MY* shin for me!
