Hi Kbus888,

Actually we have RFC posting that NEATS are too noticeable for any normal 'uninformed' nannies, doctors, etc to see Ahlanah, and that problem would remain so until the inner circle had replaced all of them, which wouldn't happen for decades.

Perhaps in 20 years the first royal baby might thus receive their NEAT, which is when the final book arc will begin.

Interesting times indeed.

This thought --- and what I might/might not do with it --- was slotted away in my plans for the series from the moment I started thinking about NEATs . . . and put one in Nimue's Cave. What I decided about it is something I'll get around to sharing with you when the time seems right . . . probably.

To my knowledge RFC/MWW hasn't defined any outward tell-tale sign on having NEAT nor would any be required. If you have any post where he says NEAT hardware is visible please reference them because I haven't seen any. He has used band type head gear to asset NEAT and has made no mention of an external plug. Nor has any equipment he has had OWL make made any mention using one.

The are references to NEATS by RFC, the MWW, possibly in the pearls regarding NEATS being too obvious.

I remember, because I was paraphrasing his statement that the nannies and doctors etc would all have to be members of the inner circle.

If there is only one NEAT in the cave which hasn't been used, though OWL ought to be able to make more, that should indicate it wasn't plugged into Ahlanah.

IIRC the NEATs are separate devices which can be used by people who have the proper implants.

People born on Safehold can't use the NEATs because they don't have the proper implants which had to be "implanted" at a very young age.

IMO the "implanting" is likely to be very obvious to any witnesses and thus could not have been done to the Princess at the time of her birth.
