Reward for new life event: Dark Sceptre

Took me six trys to get it on hard, then got it both of the next two trys. Got it on the second try on medium, and the first on easy. (I only play easy because of how much fun it is to get through the entire live event with exactly 4 broadsides.)

All of the weekly items I've seen thus far have been unique. You can use two different colors of the item, but not two of the same color.

No unfortunately. The second one sold for 94,000 plasma IIRC.

So... if you upgraded the heck out of 1 of each colour then placed them in the CM department, what would the final stat-boost be?
And what about the top two colours at max upgrade?

If you use the top two colours (upgrading the lower one once), you can use them to replace one of the maxed out purple level boosters.

I have no idea what the power rating of the orange one at max is as I haven't managed to acquire enough plasma to get it upgraded by even 1 level.
However, purple at max (L6) = system power of 75,000 and orange (L7) = system power of 90,000 with the first upgrade being +10,000.
If it's a straight-line increase (which it probably isn't), then at L10 the orange will give a power boost of 120,000 which exceeds the Z-RZ booster at max. It's likely to be higher than that, though...

So level 10 will certainly be more than just that; possibly matching the legendary system booster (which topped out at 140,000 system power). It'll be another couple days though before it completes leveling to 9 and I can see what 10 would hold.

Would you care to give us the upgrade costs? I mean aside from "a but load." The upgrade on the dissipation thing on the bridge is 1,792,000 metal from level 8 to 9. Is it that same amount of plasma for the new item?

Level 10 gives you 140k power and 1.34 repair. It's a complete replacement for a Ghost Ion Booster plus a BuShips Intelic CM Integrator.

Level 10 costs a whopping 3,584,000 plasma, and takes 7 days, 15 hours and 20 minutes.

That's about right for the level 8 to 9 upgrade here.

So...
140k (orange) + 75k (purple) = 215k power
Since L10 for counter missiles is 207k power needed, having an orange and a purple (both at max removes) the need for any extra level boosters entirely, thus freeing up more space for other items.

Nice.

Although I'm not entirely certain how the 1.23x and the 1.34x repairs stack up...

And anyone else notice they seem to have re-used the icons for the Nav Processors...
