I just played the new Dark Sceptre event 5 times in a row on hard. Got an orange box each time but found the Boosted Integrator reward in none of them.

Did the chances of the boxes containing the reward get reduced? Or did I just have a strain of very bad luck?

On the previous three events I always found the rewards on first or second try.

Anyone else have this effect?

Bad luck. Last week, someone took ten failures before finding it on the 11th.

I got the legendary version after 7 tries. Good luck

Yep, I got the Rare version (easy) on the first run, but haven't found the Very Rare or Legendary version yet.

It's all random but I doubt the odds have been changed.

Unfortunately, I've been working my third 18 hour shift in a row, so I haven't had the chance to actually jump online and make another weekly event post. I'll use yours!

All ships are listed in terms of ECM/CM/Laser/Sidewall/HP

EASY MODE:

1 battery of 2 missiles, 0/0/2/2/500 "Blazing Star"

2 batteries of 3 missiles, 0/2/2/1/1000 "Azure Horizon"

2 batteries of 4 missiles, 2/2/4/4/2000 "Dark Sceptre"
The lasers on this enemy will swat down everything you can throw at it. You have to stagger your launches by a second or two to get through while it recharges.

2/2/4/4

Shopping:

Same as last week:
100mm Alloy Armor
Level Booster Core II
Level Booster
Phased Energizer

MEDIUM MODE:

2 batteries of 3 missiles, 2/2/2/2/1000 "Blazing Star"

2 batteries of 4 missiles, 1/5/6/1/2000 "Azure Horizon"

3 batteries of 6 missiles, 7/1/3/10/5000 "Dark Sceptre"
Incredibly offensively focused. The ECM levels are enough to swat down one of your two missile salvos, but the refresh time makes this enemy *easier* to defeat if you can deal with at least 9 missiles each on both your lasers and countermissiles.

REWARD:
Purple Boosted Integrator IV: Repair Counter Missiles faster plus add Level Booster functionality
System Power
35k/52k/75k
Counter Missile Repair
1.17/1.2/1.23
Upgrade Cost (plasma)
0/128k/256k

Up to level 9 systems when combined with a purple booster (102k), and comfortably maxed when combined with an orange booster (140k).

Shopping:

Same as last week:
Level Booster III
Hypervalent Nav Processor
Omni-Arrayed Phaser
Missile Tube Sequencer

The Nav Processor is often worth it even for players at higher levels. Even though it's 'only' a blue item, it can boost you from 6 to 10 stored warp charges.

HARD MODE:

3 batteries of ~7 missiles, 5/5/5/5/2500 "Blazing Star"
Fairly system resilient

3 batteries of 10 missiles, 2/8/4/8/7000 "Azure Horizon"

3 batteries of ~15 missiles, 3/10/3/10/14000 "Dark Sceptre"
Barely was touched by maxed-out legendary system damage components. Like last week, just focus on going after HP. *UNLIKE* last week, this guy rolls. A lot.

Shopping:

Same as last week:

Prototype Z-RZ Booster
Gravitic Wave Thrusters
Nanite Fluid Distributor
Photonic Computer

REWARD:
Boosted Integrator V
System Power:
90k/100k/??/??
CM Repair:
1.26/1.29/??/??
Upgrade cost (plasma):
0/896k/?/?

The upgrade costs on this look to be fairly insane. It has fewer levels than legendary components usually do, but if the first upgrade is almost a million, the next ones should be rather horrific. Still, if you've got the plasma generators, populate your bridge full of them and get to work. You can combine this and a purple system booster to create a level 10 CM system that also has a bonus repair ability.

Combine the purple AND the orange one (since they're limited to one of each in your systems) and you've just replaced your 2 level boosters + a missile repair with 2 missile repair & level booster units that give MORE missile repair and max out your system level. If you aren't running any system repair components in your CM system, then you just get free system repair. Awesome loot.

If you're in a heavy cruiser, make sure you go back and run the medium missions to pick this up. If you're in a light cruiser, you're going to have a very difficult time beating this week's mission to get the legendary component.
