Still, we shall see.

I think we've already gotten all we're going to get on the destruction of "the Northhollow files" and her apparent disappearance.

I suspect that She's going to resurface as a serious antagonist with revenge against the Zilwiki clan and Cathy Montaine. Since the Zilwiki Clan includes Ensign Helen Ziilwiki, and Queen Berry is surrounded by ex-Ballroom fantaics, Amazons, and Elite BSC forces, I'd expect her to turn up in or near the Talbot Quadrant -- Where Helen can provide graphic and gruesome closer to the storyline.

David does not do 'graphic and gruesome' for no conceivable storyline reason.

That's John Ringo <grin>.

David might not, but Helen Zilwiki does. I'm also assuming that there would BE a storyline reason for a confrontation between Helen and Georgia.

That's Descroix. New Kiev, having not been directly implicated in anything criminal, is simply semi-retired.

Oops [traditional]. I stand corrected and abashed. I still don't expect to see anything further from New Kiev, except maybe a flash at a party or in a lecture hall. Her story is done.

In order to make it work, you'd have to completely gut and rebuild the inside, cutting through layers of armor and removing all sorts of sentisitive equipment, not to mention several hundred thousand to several million metric shitons (yes, an actual measurement) of bulkheads, consoles, engines, weapons... and then rebuilding it all.

The cost would probably be similar to building a brand new SD. And you'd still have to worry about finding civilian engines powerful enough to cart around all the battle armor that can't be removed at all because it's grown in place.

It would be like turning an aircraft carrier into a cruise liner. Ships are purpose built for a reason.

There's enough SDs to weld together into a huge spaceborne roulette wheel, isn't there?

$1000 on 13 Black.

Actually, just for the sake of completeness, about 10 years ago the Chinese bought a Russian carrier of the Kiev class and used it as the core of ... wait for it ... an Amusement Park with carrier and naval themed rides and if you had enough money you could actually spend the evening onboard the carrier and imagine you were a dashing naval officer.

This, by the way, is not a joke, you can look it up if you want to.

Stop me if you've heard this one:

Run remote controls through the SDs and then sell them to the Sollies as toys through the black market. Gut the power plants and sell those separately.

Batteries not included.

Paint them and sell them to Beowulf Maya Torch friendly Sollie transtellers as corporate freighter escorts.
