My new neighbours have a wireless name of EPLubriusAnus. Isn't that just wonderful. I used to live next to a RCMP/cop. He had the surveillance van one day but it had the wireless name of police surveillance van 2. Obviously they didn't think that one through.

There was also Mr bigglesworth.

Former neighbours had an unsecured HP printer. I was tempted to send a mysterious message. But they were nice young kids so I didn't want to screw with them.

Just put in my wireless bridge see if I can get wireless in my bedroom.

Found a great place for the bridge and I now have 3 bars in my bedroom. Although I may need a new Cisco modem, it keeps dying every once in a while. Using a D-Link pc300? Something like that had to set the modem up for wps but after that it was simply plug and play after pushing a couple buttons. Effortless, after I figured out how to enable wps.

Some people do the "{} Surveillance Van" type ones just to mess with people.

The funniest one near me is "Wifi Protected Fried Chicken".

Looks like i spelt it wrong it is EPluribusAnus. Which I looked up and is Latin for the first of many buttholes. Wonderful just as creepy and sophisticated too.

Police van was only showing up when the police van was parked in front of the cops house. Could have been a coincidence but one wonders?

My main wireless is InterstellarAlliance; unfortunately the old AirLink 101 hosting it appears to have given up the ghost - can't initiate new connections even through the Ethernet ports. Will be replaced with a NetGear Nighthawk AC1900 when I get about six other projects done....

The ISP's wireless hub is hosting LunarAuthority. The Nighthawk will live in the server room/office at the opposite end of the house when it's done - that would be Project 5.

Set up a friend's network and she finally decided on Katzenjammer.

I'm getting ready for a new Cisco router, the one I have has been acting up all yesterday. Wireless barely works, directly, and the wired sets only have DNS after 2 hours for 15 minutes then the DNS server gives up, except wireless still works. Works just not well. One last thing to try then I'll pop in for a placement.

I've gotten my phone set to "FBI Surveillance Van #682" when it's in the wireless sharing mode. My main network wireless is named "]-o-[" (Tie fighter). I've named my in-laws "Skynet" when I set theirs up.
I mean why have some boring name when there are millions of fun ones to use. :)
