Disagree with both.

Adagio should be played *during* the battle, with, admittedly cliche, slow-mo battle sequences - missile launch, missile approach, popping out the laserheads, final positioning, warhead detonation, x-ray laser impacts, and finally debris floating gracefully away.

Contrast of a beautiful piece of music with the horrors of battle (you know... like it was used in Platoon). Yep... all kinds of cliche, but I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

:roll: that's what I meant, not post battle or pre battle but the battle song. ~Sigh~ this is what I get from trying to be clever and snarky. I'm never gonna learn my lesson :(

Nope. My mistake. You had "Battle Song" in italics, and I thought it was the title of a song or piece of music, not that you were emphasizing that's where you wanted Adagio.

Whenever Honor or someone else sneak on someone in their Ships, I just imagine the Song from "Das Boot". Absolutely stunning submarine movie, albeit Maybe just known in Germany.

No, the movie is well-known here in the U.S. as well. For awhile, it was pretty much all anyone was hearing about, although I admit I've not seen it myself.

I'll need to rectify that one of these days.

I can recommend it, but maybe not the 300 minute tv version. It really consists only of men growing beards and making definitely not PG13 jokes.

But as a huge fan of Sub-Movies, I always imagined Admiral Courvoisier would look like Sean Connery as Marko Ramius, even the textev suggests otherwise. Hell, even Elizabeth looks like Cate Blanchett from Elizabeth. A black Elizabeth, but somehow it still works in my head :D
