Consider customizability along the lines of the Lua plugins developed by fan groups for WoW. If you are planning to eventually provide multiplayer and team play, this will enable a market for experimentation, and potentially relieve you of a chunk of design/dev work. Start early, things like that take time to work out the issues and get right.

I've said this on my review in the appstore as well:

1. More levels (obviously) with bigger ships and multiplayer options.
2. CLAC action whereby every "missile launcher" is a squadron of LAC armed with weapons determined in advance per type (Ferret-class LACs, Shrike-class LACs, Katana-class LACs - if you're going up against a CLAC).
3. I also approve of the various ideas here and I would add different types of ECM options and not just an EMP burst (like decoys and jammers).
4. If you don't max out the full load of laser discharges or defensive missiles additional launches should be allowed.

Has my vote.

No, too complex and would need too many controls to decide things like timing, attack angle and when to disengage ready to return.
Sorry, can't support this one.

Most of the ideas are good. I second the approval.

Partially support. Although it would take time to reload/recharge the defensive weapons, I agree that a partial "ready state" would be nice using the unfired weapons, flipping back to a "fully ready" once the fired weapons have cycled.
Not sure how it would be implemented, though. Perhaps having a small number in the top corner of the relevant square saying how many are ready to fire?

Not so much a wish, as a suggestion to make things more interesting.
Though, on reflection it might not be doable, since it would require editing the entire game, instead of just adding new content.

Ah, what the carrot cake - here goes.

Include sensors section to the boats and a scanning officer.
The idea being that unless you have sufficiently upgraded your scanning you cannot know what type of missile is approaching (the color coding and flight patterns are all set to default hull busters until you are sufficiently upgraded. Or, if your scanning is damaged in battle repaired. And when you damage your opponents sensors, it is liable to use wrong kinds of defenses (ecm against ecm busters, cm against cm busters, lasers against laser busters).
also make notifications (icons) of the proponents' damages a matter of sensors efficiency.
It would make the game more challenging, without making it outright aggravating.

And it then opens place for higher end missiles which spoof lover grade sensors into thinking they are a different kind of missile all together.

Could the missile battery controls be rearranged to match the order of the actual batteries?

At the moment it is -middle/left/right- (from viewpoint)
Could the buttons be swapped to -left/middle/right- ?

Just a minor detail that has been annoying me...

I vehemently second this. :x

Prestige generators. Nothing burns you up like umpteen times against the boss levels and your five prestige short of kicking his pods back between his wedges and boom, your toast

I would like a component for the enemy which would lower all my systems by 1, or for the masochistic/suicidal by 2 or more. It took me 15 or more deaths to get Warnecke and the final battle I was spamming MK-13s and hellfires to disable His weapons. After Him I usually won with penetrators, except maybe a Hard event.
By giving enemy Boss an ability to lower my stats at the start I will be forced to use all my missiles not only penetrators. It would make the game more challenging.

I farmed the 3 missions off encounter 18 in the Breslau sector (just got here last night) around 30 times last night and ended up doing 4 orange encounters, of those 4 only one encounter paid out with a blue box and in the box was a green component and 14 hellfire missiles... I keep hoping to get something good so I keep farming, it is just an android issue? These encounters are tough and I lose a lot but the rewards and shockingly bad most of the time I am out a ton of nukes that I have to go resupply... Any chance you could check into this? I would like a few good component drops at some point please? :?:

I think they have those. They're plastic, about 2" by 3.5", with raised numbers across the front.
