It sounds like he experienced a new meaning of CRASH translation.

The survivable options were to kill it with grasers before it got sidewalls up or surrender. They tried option 1 and failed.

This little incident is why some of us tend to think that a poorly manned and not very effectively commanded SD is likely to a real PITA for even the most ambitious pirate.

I would love an expanded version of the ship specs sections for the Manticoran and Grayson navies from House of Steel to cover all the ships used by their naval forces rather than just the ones active in the main series plus similar articles for the other significant fleets in the stories.

Depends on whether or not Steven Seagal is the ship's cook perhaps.

I hope you are aware that HoS is the first of (at least) 3 companions, covering all the significant star nations.

The next companion book is House of Lies, covering Peoples Republic/Republic of Haven, Andermani Empire, and possibly some Silesia and/or Erehwon stuff.

Due in mid-2015.

I'm fairly new to the fourms so while I had heard of House of Lies I wasn't sure what it was going to cover, and had no idea there was a third one planned. Thanks they should be a lot of fun.

Does anyone know the full capabilities and class of ship Neufsteiler had made for Honor that she ended up sacrificing to save Elizabeth and Benjamin in the Endicott system? Did it have weapons?

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

She didn't sacrifice the Jamie Candless, both she and the ship survived.

The Jamie Candless is a sub-light runabout. It is unarmed, but has a near-current ECM and sensor suite.

It was a "runabout." Basically a kind of space yacht. Not even hyper capable.
"No, this is a little sublight ship, only about eleven thousand tons. Sort of a cross between a pinnace and a LAC, but without the guns and with a lot more creature comforts.

Small and lively enough to let me play, but big enough to be comfortable and have the intrasystem range for anywhere I might need to go."

In 2016 we hope to see:
House of Shadows
covering SL, Mesa/MAlign/(RF?), (probably) Erewhon/Maya, (probably) KoT.

Bu9 is hoping for a 4th vol to play catch up after 1920-21, but there is no contract.
