No. Nonono. Theisman needs to be a magnet. He needs to be the kind of man who takes a breath to speak and instantly the whole room stops to listen. He needs presence, power, dignity, and humanity in one package, all wrapped up in a plain, unassuming face.
In short, he needs to be a young Edward James Olmos.
(Personally, my front-runner is Chris Pine, though I think Pine might be a bit too pretty. Jeremy Renner might be able to pull it off. Idris Elba definitely would, but he's also stupendously gorgeous so no. Theisman... Theisman is a problem. And not just for my ovaries. )
Jeremy Renner > Theisman = Yes! (though Fat Chance hiring him, unless he's a fan.)
Chris Pine = N-n-not so much. (That translates as "Please don't".)
I like Wheaton - but not suitable for Theisman. I see him as a better fit for (rnh - please don't hit me) Warner Caslet, or better, Sam Webster. Hmm - He might do for Judah Yanakov, or the Hertzog.

I would love to see Renner as Theisman. I've heard great things about him in the Marvel-verse, at any rate, and I think he could pull it off. But you're right -- waaaaayyyy too expensive. (But if he's too expensive, so is Pine.)
I wouldn't count Chris Pine out yet. Unlike his dearly beloved predecessor, Piney isn't good at one character type and crap at all the rest - I really think he could do it. He's got the touch. (But he's too never-to-be-sufficiently-damned pretty, and probably just a bit too flashy to carry Theisman off the way Renner could.)
I wouldn't be surprised if Theisman was another unknown, though, honestly. I'd expect the big guns to be brought in for Courvosier, Elizabeth, Bernard Yanakov, and possibly Mercedes Brigham and/or Protector Benjamin, and have everyone else, including Our Series Anchors, played by virtual unknowns. (Hey, it worked for Babylon 5! )
