use books on the tales of seijin, about their powers, about howthey save people, hunt the evil. the inquisition can take the books on heroes with out trouble, and they could help inspire people.

Tales of the seijin are already common on Safehold and existed long before Merlin's waking.

How will you idea be different than what was happening prior to Merlin's waking?

These seijin would with out ever mentioning the words, carry out their adventures TRUE to the tennants of reformers and the church of charis.
The warrior would set out help the innocent, and bring the guilty to justice.
they would be less fairy tales, more Scarlett pimpernel and robin hood. Going against the rules to fight the evils nf corrupt. My idea is that the seigin in the story was once an inquisitor or temple guard who was betrayed and left for dead by his corrupt brethren. He survives by the graceof the angels and sent to right the wrongs.

What if they wrote an animal farm version of current event? It seems like a Childs story but it can be seen asa commetory on the chuch.

Something à la Orwell's Animal Farm? I can actually imagine Napoleon as parody of Clyntahn

How abouth photography? It's actually pure chemistry and IIRC not beyond capability of Royal College. Think about the educational and propaganda values!
From that the cinematograph or similar device could be introduced, although for that you need better camera tapes than first photo cameras had.

Or maybe kinetoscope instead of cinematograph? It's just set of photos moved by turning a crank (so Muscle Power). It would probably look "safer" to Safeholdians than cinematograph projection. Again, not only you could make comedies and parodies (Chaplin's Dictator springs to my mind), but you could also play some sort of war chronicles.

Hi Kakai,

Photography requires some knowledge of chemistry being organised and understood which even Sahndrah Lywys didn't until she went to Nimue's Cave.

So while it will be awhile, given RFC's awareness of these advantages we may see some happening in HFQ.

Any snippet or post from RFC is good if not great!

They already have the abacus, courtesy of Merlin

Not early at all. Babbage was the first to "take the next step", he was not the first to experiment with computing machines, and if you already have some of the knowledge needed, or merely the knowledge that it can be done and just a hint of how, it´s perfectly doable with a 12th century technology level.

Why not make more seijin tales, butt real life one, send them on amazing adventures?
Imagine if the seigin went out and stole the crown jewels of the reigning mainland nations. Took treasure from the church estates. had their firces chases them over league and leagues and never catch them. a seihin, jewel thief of the world, who stole the gems of the world to donates to charities and hospitals in the imperium. i wonder if a church that anything hand in as charity goes to charity no matter its origin. or an exact copy of the crown could be delivered to ever head o noble family, but it turns out every single one is fake, and all the orphans have been given fakes as well.
poison some nobles not with death, but extraordinarily powerful laxatives and purgatories. paint on national monuments and statues.
do an ocean eleven style robbery of church back casinoes.
act out daring prison break outs.
rob inquisitor offices and release their papers, look what was discovered when they spread the records in that little kingdom inquisitor rooms.
the great thing about seigin, that anything out of the ordinary would simply be explained by their little ire powers.
