Since the movie will encompass HotQ, I will assume that we will see good graphical shots of the planet Grayson along with its cities. I also hope we will see the orbital farms.

Of course we should see Manticore and certain cities as well. I wonder if we will see Sphinx, Haven? I find myself wanting Spielberg to be a part of this.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Obviously I will need to bring at least three packs of tissues.

One will be for the drool. The other two will be for the tears.

Also TOM THEISMAN!! LET'S TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT WE'LL MEET TOM THEISMAN!!

Hmmm, Tom Theisman?
:o Now I know who he is. That's the short guy to whom I'll be saying MOVE, out of the way, so that I can see more of that gorgeous creature named Shannon behind you! Oops, I swallowed my tongue.

It's a kinky sort of death wish Rose. See, me been a very bad boy. And Shannon will need me to lay naked across her lap and proceed to spank me within an inch of my life until I pass out, then mouth to mouth or mouth to extreme-ity :o until I'm revived. Johnny 5 alive, and he needs to input. :P

Trilogy of the Damned by Alan Dean Foster.
--- A Call To Arms
--- The False Mirror
--- The Spoils Of War

The Aliens in it are so advanced that they are effectively pacifists, and as such need to find someone else (i.e, us) to do the fighting required to prevent them being enslaved by the scary-mind-control aliens.
How pacifist are they?
One race needs medication to even be able to witness violence and faints if in close proximity to humans, since we can be violent.

Well that's too much the other direction. I didn't say 'had become brain dead' :D And there we go again with somebody needing to be a violent dominating psycho.

I am not a pacifist, not remotely. I just find endless evil aliens war woowoo boring and puerile. And real silly. Anybody seen The Last Starfighter lately? :D

It has been done and redone and redone done done a thousand times already is all. :?

It would just be interesting for someone to write some stories that do not involve evil aliens in shootem ups with us. I do not believe evil aliens would feel the need to tax themselves in getting involved in shoot outs with us. They'd zap us without bothering to work up a sweat. eh.

So it is not that I do not think there may be evil aliens. I'm just bored with the endless playouts of that same silly scenario. HH stories have humans being our usual selves in them. Fine. That's us with us in space. :D

Actually one of my fave funny scifi books does meet my peaceful aliens trying to figure out how to do peaceful, mutually beneficial, contact with barbaric us: Agent to the Stars by John Scalzi. Utterly, intentionally, absurd, but no psychos involved.

There are at least as many stories of non-evil aliens as there are stories of evil aliens.

Any and all suggestions of interesting non-evil aliens scifi, for adults, gratefully accepted. I'll go set it up on the free range topics forum. :D
