Are the Medusans the only alien species mentioned in all of the Honorverse, other than treecats and the like? Of all the worlds the Medusans were the only species found?

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

The extinct advanced alien civilization was called the Alphanes.

The dolphins are mentioned in the same paragraph as Beowulf Gremlins, comparing intelligences with treecats. It is not implied that dolphins are considered one of the intelligent races.

The Amphors on Bartstool were originally classed as animals, and were virtually exterminated before anyone could prove their intelligence.

The Barthoni have apparently established colonies on multiple planets, with the assistance of humans.

[edit]The text says that, prior to treecats, 11 intelligent species had been found. A couple more have been found since, including Medusans.

According to HoS there are 27 sentient alien races. Dolphins IIIRC were Gen-engineered to be more intelligent or to (improve there communications abilities.(Spec))

Didn't somebody in charge mention somewhere that there was a species on the opposite side of the SL from where we are that had a three system polity and purchased ships from humans? I think they may have been a heavy grav species?

I'd like to know what we're going to see in the Talbott Quadrant from now on. With Mike having gone haring off to Mesa (and giving Gus Khumalo yet another headache of the "my subordinates have gone and done what?" variety), does that mean they're off our radar screen? Or will developments there play into the overall SL-vs-GA narrative that's sure to take up the next several books?

I know the Shadow subseries itself has come to an end, but I'd really, really hate to leave all my friends in the Quadrant behind.

I think it was the Barthoni.

I'd like to know what the reaction was the first time a Havenite tac officer painted those Manticoran icons from hostile red to friendly green on the plot. That must have been an "are we in an alternate universe?" moment.

I'd like to have been on the bridge at that moment. With copious amounts of tissues to mop up all my hysterically ecstatic tears.
