The title LIKE A MIGHTY ARMY has two possible meanings.
Does it mean "Similar To" a mighty army? Or, considering the audience it is addressed to, does it mean "Enjoy A (story about a) Mighty Army? HTM |

"Like A Mighty Army", third verse of the 19th century Anglican hymn, "Onward,Christian Soldiers" written by Sabine Baring-Gould. (I think that was where DW got the title)

With the exception of "The Old Rugged Cross," "Onward Christian Soldiers" has generated more holy horsepower than any hymn I know... Don When any group seeks political power in God's name, both religion and politics are instantly corrupted.

Sure was. All the Safehold books after the first one, OAR, have titles taken from long standing Christian hymns. BSRA, BHD & MTT are all from 'The Church's one foundation'; 'A mighty fortress is our God' , is by the reformer Martin Luther; 'How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord', is from the C18th; LAMA & HFQ are both from 'Onward Christian Soldiers'. |

Verses 2&3:
"At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee; On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise; Brothers lift your voices, loud your anthems raise. Refrain Like a mighty army moves the church of God; Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod. We are not divided, all one body we, One in hope and doctrine, one in charity." Steve |

Now there's a good title for the next book after HFQ! |

One or two title ideas suggest themselves, but I don't want to make them unusable, for copyright reasons, by posting them. Who knows, they might occur to DW and get used and that would be cool.

I like it more as the final volume when humanity finally deal with Gbaba. |
