Does anyone beside me think it likely that RFC will ensure the Honor Harrington name with a girl born unto Honor and Hamish named Honor?
Honor Mayhew is fourteen, so no debutante parties for her for at least the next couple of years.
And unfortunately for you, the older Mayhew girls (Rachel, Jeanette, and Theresa) are all between eighteen and twenty. Apparently Cat and Elaine wanted to get three girls born within two years of each other out of the nursery before they had more babies.
As to your latter question - I doubt it. Honor Harrington does not seem the sort to name her daughter after herself - she's too self-effacing for that. That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's been a boom of little girls named Honor over the last couple of decades - or at least since she came back from Cerberus - and I suspect it'll pop up among her close friends, either as a first name or as a middle name.
No, my suspect for her next daughter's name (assuming she has one) is Michelle. The only reason I can think of that her best friend's name
wasn't used as one of Katherine Alexander-Harrington's middle names is because she's saving it to use as a first name on a future child. After all, Michelle Henke
is her best friend. (I'm banking on "Michelle Elizabeth Eloise Alexander-Harrington", if you must know.
)
Not so fast Miss Rose. At fourteen she could be asked to the Senior Prom
next year, since she'll be in high school, and if she's accomplished and skipped a few grades, as is my niece, she could be asked
this year.
And as far as Honor being too self-defacing to name a daughter after herself, Emily isn't, and Emily's card will always trump Honor's, or Hamish's in that relationship!
This is why I'm a senior Cupist he thinks to himself.
Did you think I got this advanced Cupist rank by patronage? I'll have you know I worked hard to achieve Senior Cupist. Those days I got caught soliciting several of my charges, I got
over them.
Except for Abigail, still trying to get
under her.
Well it's not my fault, Grayson gals are my weakness and it's high time a few fringe benefits come my way.
Rachel, Theresa and Jeanette are
all eighteen and twenty?
Holy Cupids Bow Batman! Fodder for the feelings, Cupists!
Well are ya gonna' pull them bows or whistle dixie?
Falling in love, is such a good living boy.
