Losing a child, and in such a way? I cannot imagine anything worse.

Almost forgot.
Is Dr. Aref married? I'd like to pair her up with someone, to keep her even more visible in the storyline.

I'm thinking Herlander. In tandem with Dr. Aref, he might even be able to develop some sort of artificial speech system governed by movements of the appropriate limbs.

That way, treecats would be able to communicate with the population as a whole.

Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done.

Do not go throwing any more dares out there, Rose. You don't have 2,897 more corners to sit people in.

Oh alright, I'll go sit in the corner to think...again.

...thinking...

..thinking..

thinking...

Well, I've thought about it, and I still think its a good idea.

Remember Amy, the gorilla in Congo?
Amy communicated via sign language, sending electrical impulses to an artificial inteligence engine which translated the impulses to artificially generated words.

'Amy...Amy...me Amy...love...me...you.'

Anastasia Yanakov, Allison's armsman. Since she travels with Allison off planet there is plenty of opportunity for her to find love. She is described as the product of two worlds.

I'd like to pair her with Fritz Montoya. I've always been crazy about Fritz, ever since he shouldered Suchon's dead weight. He deserves to find love as well.

Anastasia Yanakov and Fritz Montoya

An Aside.
With the GA, I realize that Honor's famous dinner parties aboard ship has the potential to have officers from four navies. Those should make for some very interesting dinner parties!

In ART, Alison's twin brother started me to thinking of how the twin gene that runs in Honor's family has shown itself, it makes me wonder if Honor will have twins of her own.

Still working on ART. So one of the above may have already happened.

Samantha taught treecats how to sign once she learned. But how did Nimitz learn, since he can no longer hear memory singers? Am I missing something, again?

He worked with Arif the whole time to develop the signs, so he learned it the human way so to speak. Somewhere in Ashes of Victory (I think, can't find it right now) there is reference to Honor feeling Nimitz' frustration early in the process.

Nimitz can still hear his fellow treecats, so Samantha can still hear him. His problem is that while he can hear others, they can't hear him. His transmitter is broken, not his receiver. He is now mute to his fellow treecats. His mindvoice has been silenced, but he can still hear and understand other.
Cup of tea? Yes, please.

So Samantha can actually hear Nimitz, or just sense his emotions?

I'm unsure.
