I think we can all assume that Michelle has (mostly) forgiven Lester for Zanzibar by now.
All other things being equal, if Michelle Henke is going to fall in love with anyone, I'd have to say Lester Tourville is one of the most likely candidates you're going to find. Also, I can't believe I didn't remember that passage from SFtS. Thanks for the reminder!! *goes back to daydreaming about the most BAMFy Manticore/Haven power couple of all time* ~*~

It appears our little Victor Cachat may also have to juggle the affections of one Yana Tretiakovna.
Tall, attractive, very dangerous blonde. Home-grown for Cachat you say? I think she can give her competition a run for her money. Especially if Victor likes blondes better. We know they have more fun. They were on that ship, in very close quarters for a very long time together, four months, limping back to civilization, just the four of 'em. And she was bored because Cachat was always playing chess with Zilwicki. I wonder what she wanted to do. And here's the kicker. She actually played the role of his girlfriend on Mesa. Now they had to make it look genuine! Especially if lives depended on it. So at the very least, kisses happened! Wander, imaginations. Wander! Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

You know. I never took Cachat for a ladies man. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

...I didn't think you wanted Victor and Yana to die!! ...because if they hook up, Thandi will kill both of them. ~*~

I think we've mostly mined out the available ore but I have a challenge for our matchmaking masters on this thread.
Who would make a good partner for our dear primer minister: William Alexander? I'm fairly certain there's been no mention made of any wives, children, significant others... Can he find love with another politician extraordinaire within the Manticoran and/or Havenite governments? Become whatever the male equivalent of a dirt-side dolly is to some courageous naval officer? The floor is open. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

Ooh, nice ammunition. Eloise Pritchart. Of course that would be a power move too good to be true. But talk about honey for the storyline. (no pun intended) Of course Howard Clinkscales' younger wife Constance would be a contender as well. How does that work anyway? If somone remarries one of Grayson's widowed wives, does he automatically inherit the others as well? Or do they have the freedom to choose? Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Anyone have any arrows left over for Alfredo Yu and his flag Captain Susan Phillips? I'd really like to see more of the Cerberus escapees.

...you haven't known me very long, have you.
Willie is married, per RFC. He tried to introduce his wife in an earlier book but she didn't fit into the plot. Sorry! At this point, my thoughts are turning toward the younger generation. Miss Midshipwoman Mayhew, anyone? And wouldn't a Grayson-Haven marriage be an interesting event?? ~*~

You're always pulling rank rose. By the way, is rose ok, or heather? I would just like to see the very deserving Cerberus escapees get a little comeupance. And a flag captain is very close to her admiral. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense.
