Inspired by a similar thread on another message board, I thought I'd start one up here. Basically, just post what you happen to be listening to at the moment. The general idea is music - forex, I have iTunes playing randomly in the background on my computer when I'm doing anything but gaming. With over 6100 songs available, I never get bored with what pops up. That other thread I mentioned has gotten me interested in new music that I either hadn't heard of, or never bothered with before.

That said, even if it's not music but something else going on that you're listening to (audiobook, the news, whatever), that's fine as well. Ideally, if it's music, I would be interested in hearing it myself, so posting a YouTube (or equivalent) link would be a bonus, but not required.

The other thread is pretty well-maintained, with people occasionally posting a comment on what someone else has posted, but it never devolves into flames or harsh words about what somebody might like. I can think of a few "WTF?"s that might come up with some of the stuff I might post, and that's fine as long as it's meant in a "This is some weird stuff" humorous way.

I'll start off:

Carly Simon - Nobody Does It Better

Which, as I was typing, finished and segued into:

Yui - Again (live)

Silence interposed by the occasional car driving by or my humidifier clicking on or off.

Not right now -- but a couple of days ago my alarm clock decided to wake me up with Ted Nugent singing "Stranglehold" -- that was a bit surreal for a few seconds.

About 27 years ago, it might have been even more surreal for me - I woke up one night choking, and before I was fully awake and coherent after the rude awakening, accused my wife of trying to strangle me in my sleep.

The problem is that I have a phobia of anything close around my neck/throat - all my t-shirts get their collars stretched out, I refuse to wear a tie, etc. My wife, in her sleep, had laid her arm across my chest just a bit too high.

Anyway...

All good stuff, especially Rush. Just picked up the Vapor Trails Remastered cd and Clockwork Angels tour Blu-Ray. Took my oldest son (then 15) to see them on that tour in 2012. Before that, I had taken him to see Rush on the R30 tour when he was 6.

Yep. I'm watching Eureka Seven because of the Lia x Origa Amazing Grace/Sakura mashup. It's not an AMV, but because I was searching for some more Origa, I happened across it.

Frankly, I'll watch or listen to *anything* that involves Origa.

Hell, it's not what I was listening to, but because I mentioned it, I have to watch and listen to it now:
