I am curious as to why there has been no Manticoran, Grayson <-> Andermani pairings.
I'd like to see someone paired with the female Andermani officer who finally put her dislike for Manticorans aside during battle with SLN. She was feisty. I'll research her name and pair her with someone for certain. Feisty! Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

Oh, how I desperately wish, but I don't think so. I just keep repeating to myself, "He will always be with her. He will always be with her." *heartbroken wails* ~*~

rose,
The more I consider your pairing of Augustus and Dame Estelle the more I like it. Thay are both paper pushers too. And I get the feeling that Dame Estelle is lonely too. Especially being out in the boondocks. Is she still on station? Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. That's because you're gradually developing sense. And yes, she is. As Talbott's Imperial Governor-General, she's going nowhere fast. I love them together. He's a good, solid man who's stood beside her since Monica, and he understands what she does. He understands the way a politician and a diplomat thinks, but he can also give her the naval perspective on whatever she's considering, and unlike certain other Navy officers we've met, he can actually partner her properly in the political dance neither of them can avoid. Besides, they're both the ultimate Manticoran authority in the Quadrant - military for him, civilian for her - so who else do they really have to depend on but each other? They understand each other, they have so much in common - and look how much warmer their relationship has become! Just watching it blossom over the course of the four books they've been in together has been incredibly beautiful. They're friends now, as well as allies, and they can support each other in ways no one else can support either of them. I think it's the perfect foundation for a real love affair. ~*~

Damn rose, talk about a cupid analysis. You've been promoted to Supreme Cupiditor. Have they actually interacted in four books??? Son, your mother says I have to hang you. *courtly curtsey* I've been in love with this pairing for a long time. (Funny, it's about as long as I've been in love with Augustus Khumalo....) The Shadow of Saganami, Storm From the Shadows, Mission of Honor, and Shadow of Freedom. So yes, they have. And sweet Tester but I can't wait for the next one!! ~*~
