You've forgotten another possibility for Abby. Carson Clinkscales. Close to the same age, similar cultural background and a neat way to tie the Owens Steading to the Harrington Steading.

No, no, no! Fate is speeding her to her soon to be beloved. Indiana Graham doesn't know just how complicated his life is going to become. Still, I think he will enjoy the experience. :)

After all the angst of knowing they will have to part, they discover that Grayson will administer the non-Quadrant nations fighting for their freedom. Abby's next ship might well be a GSN Roland variant assigned to the space around Mesa.

Can't you just see the story possibilities? Nothing more captivating than reading about the tortured twists of a youthful love life.

You know, I actually kinda like that one. At least they are in the same Quadrant.

Let's be honest here - we all know which pairing I'm really invested in seeing happen, don't we?

I'm telling you, that one is written in the stars.

When RFC mentions that Khumalo has a wife and three kids back on Manticore in the next non-Torch novel, how are you going to react? (I swear he's going to do that with someone ...)

I'm going to follow Dame Estelle's example and swear "sulfurously", then demand to meet them, of course! :P

(Truthfully, though, I don't think he does. We rarely, if ever, got inside Mark Sarnow's head in TSVW - and when we did, it was battle-related. With Khumalo getting so much more screentime, you'd think it'd have come up before now - like it did with Aivars Terekhov. And still does. Speaking of Aivars, I want more Sinead!!)

...I could get behind that.

Where is Carson these days, anyway??

Hey Rose.

One thing I didn't think of until after I had taken a short nap. If Abby marries Carson, that would make her Honor's niece. I wonder how Abby would feel about that?

My guess? Lots and lots of blushing, plus an almost Henke-esque desire not to abuse her connections. :D Although given a particular exchange in Storm From the Shadows, I think Abby might be a bit more rational about that small issue than Michelle ever was...

But it would be a nice way to bring her into Harrington Clan, wouldn't it??
