Children, Children!!!
Be nice. Obviously, we have -not- seen Nimitz, never mind a treecat in general. What we have here is a miniaturized hexapuma that slammed face first into a pinnace's sidewall. At 35g's. |

Oh? Ok... I thought he had ended up under a lawnmower for real then tried to cover it up by doing some hardcore cosplay using fullbody painting. |

I like the feline look to this but he is a bit too fierce. Unless this is supposed to be his "I'm about to rip your face off" look.
Nimitz has been described as cream and grey. |

To be fair the writing noted they had not added the fur yet here they are designing the anatomy skin only. @ spacekiwi the background might give the impression of spikes and, the skin bump thing I think is his shoulder blade. Poker CPO Poker Mind and, Mangy Fur the Smart Alick Spacecat.

What writing? Did I miss where a link to something more was posted? That said, I *hope* this is his "about to rip your head off" look! I like the eye color ... Round pupils for arboreals, I guess. Does he have four ears? Hmm, this looks a LOT like the electric blue version, with more natural coloring and skin detail. So maybe the attitude is appropriate for that scene. |

Nvm, found it in the other thread. I thought reading oldest-newest would save me from that. Foiled by the stickies! |

Well, I want to see the furred example, but I can work with the face--although I agree that is the "All your face is belong to us" look--I'd still like to see the friendly, cuddly face depiction before I comment further. Remember folks, Nimitz may be described in human terms, but he is an ALIEN, evolved and shaped by a planet 500 light years from Earth, so the artist is trying to bring in that 'alien' look without (it is to be devoutly hoped) destroying the essence of treecat. So (1) Fur him up and (2) Show the warm and cute face and I'll get back to you.... ***********************************************
