Hi Antipode,
I'm perfectly happy with people declaring they live at "it's complicated".

Just turned 27 today and have been reading David Weber books since my mid teens but reading OAR shortly after it came out was what really put David Weber on my authors to look for map and caused me to find and read almost all of his books, although I'd previously read a few books that were collaborations of his and other authors. I am however fairly indifferent to the Honorverse books, the main ones anyway. I do like some of the spin offs from it way better and am in particular a fan of Eric Flint's Victor Cachet.

I'm 57, from Western New York and my fav is the Safehold series. ( I already voted) My first intro to SciFi was the Dune series. My intro to David Weber was the Dahak and Starfire series, both of which I like more than the Honor series. Hope that helps!

If David Weber's written it, I've read it. Same for a LOT of other writers. |

Turning 48 in 3 days. Still think like a 30-something. Body feels like a 60-something.

My sister was annoyed when I said that I don't feel like 60. She told me that I wasn't sixty yet (birthdate is in June). I suspect that she doesn't like to think about her turning 58 in November.

Yes, it is amazing how my two younger sisters (1 and 2 years younger) can revel in my ancientness and decrepitude, yet have a complete disconnect on how close they are to same state decomposition and being beyond their freshness date! |
