Wow, that was quite the shipping discussion.
I have an unlikely but interesting one to add to the list: Felicia Hadley (Beowulf's delegation head to the Solarian Assembly) and Sir Lyman Carmichael (Manticore's ambassador to Old Terra). They can commiserate and bond over the Sollies' stupidity and corruption. By the way, AdmiralStarNight, your Tourville signature is awesome. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

Overstegren with Abby Hearnes?
No way. She will go for Mateo. Two meters+ tall and nearly 200 kg of muscle will make an impression. And just look at that pastern, not to mention his forelocks.

I always wondered if that was a typo. 200 kg is almost 450 lbs; even for a heavy-grav human that's really really heavy. Side note: has anyone else been curious as to how much Honor weighs? Weber mentions her height a lot but I've always wondered how much a woman that tall with the Meyerdahl modifications would weigh? 100kg? 90? *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

That would be the proper specs for Mateo.
I suspect Honor Harrington masses close to 100 Kg given her height and density. She is notbas bulky as a San Martino but she is muscular. Abby Hearnes in contrast masses not much more than 50kg.

PMA.
(PMA is an inside joke between my niece and I. It means we're about to say something that may evoke a response resulting in a pie-in-the-face. Hence, Pie Moment Alert.) A part of me, ok a large part, feels strongly that the right love interest for Eloise is Victor Cachat. I came to that conclusion when he surfaced right before the Battle of Manticore and the humorous but serious banter between the two of them. It was heart-warming, informative and IMHO possibly premonitious. (I like the word anyways) I am certain that I am prejudiced on his behalf, since their pairing would ape a one Anton Zilwicki and Lady Catherine Montaigne, whom I so adore. I implore! But its also a logical pairing. They understand each other's duties and responsibilities and it can never be questioned where Victor's loyalties lie...for the quintessential patriotic patron Saint, it has to be Victor. Lemon Meringue...please. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

If Victor had a fling with Pritchart, Thandi Palane would break them both in half.

Nah, she's a reasonable woman. She'd just break Pichart's legs off. |

Which, of course, means anything of the sort is entirely out of the question, because over my dead body will anyone harm a hair on Eloise Pritchart's head. In all honesty, given all we know now, I think Tom Theisman really is at this point the only logical choice if she does fall in love again. Though love is rarely logical... I have to admit, I may have entertained a fantasy or two about Eloise and Allen Higgins. Though, to be fair, I've entertained a fantasy about just about anyone and Allen Higgins... that man needs some love!! ~*~

How about giving him command of an experimental fleet of test bed starships, and get him into a Shannon/Sonja sandwich - both because he's earned it, and because we know he's a trouble magnet and those two are going to get into SO much trouble. |

...you. I like you. That is the best solution to my Allen problem ever and until proven otherwise in my mind that is exactly what happens. Now we know what I'll be dreaming of as I drift off to sleep every night.... ~*~
