My next crazy adventure with Microsoft...Outlook 2007. My family uses one main computer for business and I had backed it up about 2 months ago. The pst file had gotten to be over 2 gigs in size and outlook would not work. Outlook 2007 has an inbox repair tool that would not work. I tried for 2 days to run this program or download pst repair file programs. The free scanners would pick up the file but I could not fix it.

About 2 days later, I was driving home and had this epiphany of maybe in this super long file name that there was a space in one of the words. Sure enough, I ran the inbox repair tool with the a space in the file name and it worked. I sat at the computer desk and gently pounded my head against it....the pain, the frustration, and time wasted due to one space within this super long file name. This problem was mine due to a stupid mistake of not recognizing a space in the pst file. I ran the inbox repair tool and got the email backup and running. The inbox repair tool deleted all emails within the deleted file and sent file. My mom had over six thousand emails in the deleted file.

Needless to say, I showed my mom how to go through deleted email files and clear it. Also, I showed her how to delete all the spam email files and also the sent email files!

To save money, I'm going to buy a labtop from the pawnshop. For about $200 total I kind buy a labtop with 4 gigs of ram running windows 8.0 (yuck!). I use to have a fairly nice but old labtop. They have a gimmick of stealing bags out of cars when people are fueling up their vehicles at the gas/petrol stations here in Houston, Texas. Now, I have a cheap Dell 505 Latitude that barely runs. For $140, I can upgrade the computer with a 2 gigs of ram from 512Mb of ram and install ssd with windows vista or windows 7. Before Marriage (BM), I would buy an alienware or similar type of labtop (Yes, I despise Dell for destroying a great company of high end gaming labtops!) Dropping $2000 on labtop would not hurt a bit but the fact is the expense can not be justified when the money can be put to better use in the family.

The only other option is Microsoft surface tablet. My brother bought one and just loves it.

That's funny, I'm taking a screenshot of the error. I have little Dsylexia. Generally, I don't see the mistake. My boss at work has his assistant check my emails before I send it company wide because I just do not see my errors. He's a good boss, it's funny he gets promoted and I then get promoted. The truth is I watch his back and do a great job. He watches mine.

I was going to edit the post but I think I leave it up and just laugh at the mistake. Hey, my son will get a big kick out of it.

I'm just working the bugs out of my 8 monitor linked pair of windows 7 computers. The monitors all work, although I need to do some brightness contrast gamma level adjustments. Had to build a custom mount for the monitors, 4 wide 2 high 1280*1024 19" monitors. Couple more minor adjustments and I'll be set for next week.

Wow, I thought dealing with 4 monitors at work was a pain. My workstation consists of 3 monitors hooked up to a workstation and I have a separate monitor for my laptop. This setup is both productive and distracting at the same time. So, 8 monitors would drive me crazy! Wait! I am already crazy. Maybe, it would just make me slightly more unproductive due to information overload! :mrgreen:

Web pages on two high 19" monitors is great. It is a similar ratio to a HD monitor in portrait mode. 1280*2048. Four of those is great. Also one can make two 38" monitors side by side. The frames get in the way using the four as one but as stacked monitors it isn't so bad. You also have to increase the font size. 12 monitors would also work, but the height didn't work on a 4*3 level and my office is not wide enough for 6*2. 4*2 barely fits. I suppose I could make a cave, but modifying my desk would be a bit more difficult. Maybe next time.

I used to work at a tech college running the computer recycling programme. I picked my monitors up there from my friend who runs it now at the bargain price of $9 each. Including cables. If I had to buy new monitors I would have done it differently.

Recently, I rebuilt 2 old xp machines for 2 divorced women. They did not have any monitors to run the computers and I did not have any spares or old used ones. I tried work and that was no go for getting old monitors. Ultimately, I went to Directron and shelled out $100 for two old flat-screens. Being a penny pincher, I just want to "cry" because I could not find any type(s) of deals for these xp machines. All and all it was for a worthy cause.

8 monitors works great. Sometimes I do wish I had an extra four more but so far it is really good. Couple bugs to work out yet but working well.

Working on my gaming rig now. Not sure if I should do two or three? Have lots of older games that can run on older setups. But wondering which way to go.

I did pick up a new R9 290x video card. Have my new motherboard and a 4.0GHz 8 core CPU. Not sure if I should go for 6 60gb ssd or 6 120 GB ssd. I plan to run vista but I need to order in 4gb of ECC DDR3 RAM. Have 3 21" LCD monitors 1600x900 resolution. Total will be 4800x900. Gallant IKEA desk and a Human touch massage chair although I might need a different chair as well. IKEA has some good ones too. Cheap and good.

Other option includes using some cheaper HD TVs as monitors. Make a Cave experience. Full immersion gaming. I wonder if a ps4 or Xbox one can be used with multiple TVs? Anyone know? 50+" TVs. 2 more 60" and I can replace my main home theatre TV with a 4k and make a triple 60" 1920 (x3) x 1080 display. The being there experience.

Have to look into that some more.
