Captain (Commodore?) Zevlava is developing into quite a character as well. I can't really point to one specific thing, but he seems to be one of those characters to watch. And he does have a very... interesting sense of humor.

I love Zavala. I also love Naomi Kaplan. And I'd really love to see what those two could do together...

Oh, you know who else is awesome? Jessica Pherris. And if Karl and Stephanie don't end up together I will eat my metaphorical hat.

Especially since Alfred Harrington's real given name is Karl...

It is also mentioned at one point in the books when Honor is not comfortable with her body and looks that her height came courtesy of great-something grandfather Karl.
Cup of tea? Yes, please.

I hate to put a damper on such exhuberant zeal, but Stephanie could have named one of her children after her best friend, perhaps even the child's godfather... :?

Last year there was a set of pre-Honorcon Family Feud questions, one of which was 'which Honorverse death would you most like to reverse'. That was my answer.

abigail hearns---such strength of character
carolyn wolcott like an angel
aubrey wanderman.

stacy hauptman many of the rich have no morals, scruples, or values. IMHO Unless you place selfish as an adjective in front of each of those nouns. Not so with Stacy. She stood up to her father when most rich kids wouldn't have thought twice about supporting their father even when they knew he was wrong, and the decision to do so was decisive. She didn't hesitate a single moment. It was the only time Stacy became angry. With Stacy right is right. Wrong is wrong. Period. I simply love everything about her. Rich but yet the anti-thesis of rich. Now that is truly rare. She gets absolutely everything right even from the on set when her father's actions against Honor stunned her. And even embarrassed her. I hurt for her then. More of her character is shown when it is shared that she hasn't availed herself of any bio sculpt technology. In a culture where bio sculpt is the norm she chooses to just say no. Which means she is constantly interacting with women whom are much more beautiful than she. Am I the only one whom knows how difficult that would be for the average woman? And that sentiment hasn't changed so much in the future. In fact it seems it is intensified or the practice of bio sculpting wouldn't be so readily amployed as if it's an outpatient procedure. It seems to be as common as smearing on lipstick! She can afford the most capable bio sculpt experts anywhere in existence. If she wanted, they would be on the payroll dealing with her exclusively. Can you imagine our very own Paris Hilton not availing herself of that kind of opportunity when everyone around her is more beautiful? I love her. So much that I'd spend all of my credits on a five second holo-commercial just to tell her. I would be the only person immune to the conditioning of Mesa's nanotechnology. "what, is that all you got? I am already under compulsion. Love is the strongest compulsion!"

I simply can't stop stalking her!

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

My sentiments exactly. She was such a bright light snuffed out so quickly before she could really shine. I even liked the sound of her name.

Abigail Hearns. For so many reasons!

But one is enough. I have a severe phobia about Honor meeting her demise. but if it does ever happen Abigail Hearns I am certain will help lessen the blow.

She is an absolute HIT.
Honor In Training!

And somewhere down the line...there's gonna' be a reckon'n.

Helen Zilwicki can have a book all to herself. That is one interesting woman.

Also Berry Zilwicki. I wish there was more of her. She is much too busy these days.

...WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS.

(In my defense, any name ending in "a" automatically registers as feminine in my brain... can we just pretend this never happened? *looks around for convenient rock to hide under*)
