Invictus,
Thanks for reminding me of that. It is one of the few titles I have read only a couple times. Time I have another go at it. Thanks! Great admirals don't make wars great, bad admirals make great admirals' wars great. -cthia Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

Yes, I was there when the order went out. Amidst the cheers of the Grayson Navy. Khumalo's dialogue in that exchange reveals his strength as a leader. He objectively and systematically considers each question and answers each directly in a way that makes his position and intent inescapably clear. Contrast him to Halsey at Luzon. With Khumalo, the world does not have to wonder. |

Somehow, I suspect that Cordelia Ransom said it too.

It does seem I am being promoted quickly and I never expected. Many of the promotions I fail to notice as they seem to happen so quickly. It makes me feel like Honor, Terekov, and Michelle Henke. But ok...if you insist I'll accept the promotions, but don't even think about offering me any medals! Thanks for letting me know the speed of my promotions. Didn't have a meter-stick. I feel like I am still on my snotty cruise. And thanx for posting that legend. But I assure you. I do not play the patronage game!!! Congratulations. HTM Also, I wish I could say that my fast promotion is a symptom of being well received and liked by my peers. But the real reason is because I am on vacation. An entire month. Forced to take it. Use it or lose it deal. And I was a bit overworked. Companies don't hire like they once did...oh no, they just work the crap out of the existing work pool. I am Lab Manager in an Environmental and Geotechnical company and since no one else can do my job. I'm pretty much it. I always book vacation in preparation for the Super Bowl...tons of friends, food, etc. Therefore, with so much time on my hands, little wonder I rise quickly in rank...for now. Now that I have been informed of the qualifications of rank. Also, I haven't been a fan of social networks. No twitter, facebook, etc. I simply do not have the time. Truth be told this is my first social network. Here I have lost my cherry. Oops, can I say that here? Trust me, it is saying alot for David's site to ensnare me! It is a testament to an incredible site...unlike any I have ever seen. But again...green, I am. But I have always liked book discussions! I get that here...as well as all things Honor. I originally ventured onto the site what, several days ago in search of info on the upcoming movie. I perused the forums and saw so many interesting conversations and witty banter...but muted, mostly. I saw tongue-twisters and immediately wanted to post there..."Tweety Tweeys On Twitter...which I had just completed barely a day before as a testament to the time on my hands. Wanna know something ironic...it was written as a joke to many of my friends whom have tried for years, and continue to do so, to persuade me to at least join twitter. A friend of my love interest querried me for the last time. "Why, why, just give us one reason." So I wrote that tongue-twister as a swipe at social networks. Privacy in todays digital world? So..there you have it. Lest you think I do indeed participate in the patronage game. Just wanted to set the record straight, 'case there are any Solomon Hayes-like spies lurking about. - Last edited by cthia on Tue Mar 18, 2014 6:55 am, edited 1 time in total.

Howard do you remember how it used to be 4.5 years ago when it was Namelessfly, yourself, myself and few others? It was real hard to get promoted quickly, tho Namelessfly sure tried hard using BC(P)'s
Heck that was even back in the days before Duckk was made the Major Domo of this house.
