RFC warned us that he would be hard pressed to meet his self-imposed schedule of 10 days between snippets, yet I have noticed that the Forum is as quiet as Xmas Eve. The church mice are knowing their fingers as the hours of this TENTH day passes. Will a jolly non-elf be pulled by a team of treecats land on this forum's roof to drop a present?

We are told that patience is a virtue, but right now, frankly, I want the sin of satiated gluttony (intellectual speaking!)

Let the poor man catch his breath before pestering him. With all the irons he currently has in the fire give him at least, oh, a day or two extra before beginning the normal begging, pleading and caterwauling.

I attended Honor-Con- The MAN was on a panel almost every hour from Friday afternoon- til Sunday afternoon. And he wasn't just sitting there--. I got tired for him just listening.

he said in the last snippet that he would be late with the next snippet but he gave us an extra long one instead...

Its possible that we might have to wait till next week for it.

sigh... but better than not getting one at all (or at least that's what I keep telling myself)

'Shrugs' I guess RFC is just genuinely too busy to reliably find time to attend to a minor administrative level job, like giving us our fix regularly, which is why it is so much nicer for the rest of us when he delegates it to someone like Drak.

A lot of the major posters on this forum were at Honorcon.

Is it possible that the reason the number of posts has gone down is because they all have sneer collors on now?

My impression was that it was going to be twenty days before the next snippet, with his commitments of the moment. I'll give the guy a break.

I figure he'll get around to it when he gets around to it and not a moment before. To tell the truth, I'm getting mixed emotions about the snippets. In one way, I like a taste of a story line that I enjoy reading but, on the other hand, I'm not so sure I like the sense of familiarity I get due to reading them when I finally do get to read the book. It ruins some of the little details and plot devices in the story that are building up to the snippets for me.

He also really doesn't have to give out any snippets. Personally, if I was a writer, I wouldn't release more than a short scene or two as a teaser prior to release. If you want more, then bide your time, cough up the dough and get it all but I guess that I'm mean like that.

We should be thankful that he puts them out at all instead of whining like a bunch of spoiled children when the interval between them is 15 minutes longer than usual.

I am always thankful to see another snippet. However that never stops me from thinking: "Please sir, may I have another." (Apologies to the heirs of Charles Dickens.) Some of us are old enough to start our second childhood.
(This assumes that we ever grew up in the first place.)
