Since the exercise you apparently propose would require my reviewing every notable thing I might have seen, heard, read or otherwise viewed about Ms Palin, and where I did so, over a period of several years ..... well, quite frankly, I have neither time nor inclination. That you seem to think I have the memory and organization for a feat like that may almost be considered flattering.
Already said. Based on personal obervations, she simply fails to impress me, Given that she spends a lot of time these days working with / for Fox News, it is surprising that you would consider her valid confirmation /support for a Fox News sensation-piece that, so far, has not been confirmed or even picked up by anyone else outside the Tea Party circus. *

In summation, you have no actual factual basis to justify your opinion of Governor Palin but choose to hold her in such contempt based purely on personal prejudice and perhaps resentment about her opposing Obama who is your hero. I suspect that the same is true for FOX News whose major sin is covering stories that you would prefer to ignore including the ongoing political purge of the US military top officer corps. Your contempt for the "Tea Party Circus" is no doubt motivated by resentment about their objections to increased taxation to pay for Obama's socialist agenda. The really scary aspect of your attitude is the eagerness with which you would dismiss reports of very alarming events simply because the undeniably biased journalists that you identify with them refuse to report on them. There are times when I wonder how Adolf Hitler was able to come to power when he was obviously such a dangerous radical. Then I meet someone such as yourself who reminds me that most people are eager to be mislead. |

As someone outside the US, this is the first I have heard of it, and the only info I can find seems to be exclusively Fox or Palin related websites, so that makes me a mite suspicious. Not discounting it, just pointing out that for something that should be being blared throughout the country if it were true, it doesnt seem to have spread much. This would make watergate look tiny, yet it isnt spreading.

What you say would be true if one assumes an honest investigative press. A press that will publish items detrimental to the administration. That assumption has been questioned since Mr. Obama's first presidental run. At that time Hilary's supporters in the news bemoaned the one sided coverage and the press flat out ignoring news worthy items. President Obama's association with known terrorists comes to mind. More recently the press has ignored how Fast and Furious, Bengazi and Fort Hood were handled. In all three cases people died yet any serious inquiry into those cases was sorely lacking. Shall we get to the IRS scandals where his administration used the power of the IRS to deny his enemies tax advatages to prevent their fund raising ability? Given the reoccurance of grave and questionable issues that suggest the President will use the power of his office to secure his power and authority, why does anyone discount what Mrs. Palin says out of hand? The administration's record for abusing power suggests that Mrs. Palin concerns might have merrit. |

Your diatribe is very revealing on various points. Turnabout is fair play. Prove me wrong. With actual facts please. Most people are eager to be misled? Maybe. All depends on where one is sitting, matey. From my POV, you are the one unconditionally accepting one extra-bodgie news source as truth, and asserting that all other news sources must be conspiring to keep quiet about it. I consider such a mindset ... not scary, but probably ill-fated. A little more mental flexibility, perhaps? I try using various separate sources for my info-gathering, maybe you should consider that? "Socialist". That word you keep using. I do not think it means what you think it means. You also invoked Hitler, which is a very dubious debating tactic, often favoured by those short on the facts. "When in doubt or even just losing, always bring up Hitler 'cuz EVERYBODY hates Hitler" and all that. Noting that Adolf was a great one for using 'The Big Lie' to get what he wanted. Also noting his preferred means of dealing with opposition to his worldview was not presentation of supporting facts - but shouting, tantrums, finger-pointing, personal putdowns and wild accusations. BTW, I am not an Obama worshipper. No strong views either way on the guy except that, these days, I kind of feel sorry for the poor b#####d. Very interesting that you accuse me of making him my hero AND of hating liberals, because being both at once seems rather tricky. Comes to that ..... I previously suggested that we both keep away from the personal shots. You seem to agree, THEN stated that I am, what was it, "eager to be misled"? What, no remarks about my mother? But, my reference to the 'Tea Party circus' was probably both unnecessary and provocative, so I apologize for that. Thinking that I owe a much bigger apology to circuses though. However, you have done absolutely nothing to improve my personal perceptions and views of the "report" you quoted, Fox News, Ms Palin or the US Tea Party. Just a smidgeon of supporting data might have been enough to make some people at least consider it, maybe even me, but you couldn't even do that. Comes to that, I have picked up a few notions about you personally, but will try to keep those to myself. Really, one of us should. Then, the babblings of someone you label a liberal-hating, Obama-worshipping socialist is unlikely to make any impression on your private little universe. Guess I'll have to learn to cope with that. So I will relax and do other things. I'm s-o-o-o done with this thread, so feel free to carry on (and you do SO carry on). Enjoy, celebrate your epic victory over .... I dunno, the need to present information to back up one's claims? (I flatter myself, sure, but what else is a Obama-worshipping, liberal-hating, socialist, easily misleadable foreigner to do?) *

If I were to express such a negative opinion of Obama without being able to cite actual policies or actions, you would be justified in accusing me of being motivated by racist.
