For the most part, just subtract 20 years from the age when it is kwon...  Actually, that might not be a bad idea. Another question would be which story by Weber did you read first. _

I'm 58 though I feel 90 when the weather is changing. I'm mentally about 18 (some say 8) most days.

It would be nice if those who were willing would go to User Control Panel > Profile > Edit Profile and add their location to their sign in. It would be nice also if the newcomers voted for either/or both of the series that they read. Every time I bring this thread forward, a couple of middies add their location and vote in the poll. Then a couple of the old salts actually admit that they aren't homeless and put down their home location. So far, about 6% of the total number of registered users have voted, but it is a very high percentage of the regular posters. _

Bringing this forward once again fro the new people on the forums. So far, just over seven per cent have voted. I hope to get a few more.

Now I'm 17 but will be turn 18 tomorrow. So I'm one of the youngest HH readers. Not many people in my age are interested in science fiction, most prefer to read fantasy.

Welcome atanica. its good to have lots of young bloods around, as it helps ensure there will be fans around for a long time. I'm 20, but have been reading David weber since about 14. And agreed that so few people read sci fi any more. they watch the movies, but they dont read, or if they do, its fantasy (Harry potter, twilight, etc made up half of the teenage requests when i worked at my local library), Romance(80% of what teenage girls got out), or gritty realistic stories, like louis sachars small steps, where most of the conflict and plot is due to characters not telling the truth, not telling enough of the truth, or not speaking out at all. They either wanted to read because it was a popular book, or because they needed to read a book for schoolwork. `

Several people who have been silent for a long time have rejoined us. For those for whom English is a second (or third) language, feel free to ask questions of almost any of the regular posters from an English speaking country in a private message. Most will answer you the next time they are on the forums. _

Hello . I'm new here but as far as age is concerned I am in my 60's and have been a fan of S F since I was a teenager (I know, late start) I'm currently working my way through "At All Costs" and enjoying it(as expected).
