shouldn't it be is/isnt', or is and isn't?

No, I'm sure it's supposed to be, "He is Space Sergeant Houghton." That make more sense.

Or, possibly, we're seeing an artifact of a dictation software hiccup. But I think the first one is much more likely. ;)

Didn't Bahzell used to have a full suit of plate?

An odd thing to have stick out at me out of all that, but back to mail and a breastplate sort of lept out as "wait, what?"

Or the "Space Sargent Kenneth Houghton" reference wasn't a misprint. That there are other universes besides this one approaching cusps. Moreover, Tomanak's description suggests that this Ken Houghton was a version that might have been.

Perhaps the Light uses only beings from universes that are never instantiated to avoid influencing the free will of that universe? Those entities can enter a universe to help persuade the universe in flux. So gods only use beings from the uninstantiated or the decided universes.
