I'm just starting another reading of the entire series in preparation for AtSoT and something struck me and I thought it was worth considering. We know that after Kau-Yung destroyed the original enclave Chihiro and Schuler were the 2 main archangels who survived yes? We also have some questions as to whether Schuler was actually all that bad of a guy seeing as there are like 2 different sides of him, the one we see from his book (possibly only attributed to him not written by him) and the message that we see from him in the object thingy he's passed down through the Wylsynn family. So at this point we really don't know ifs he's good or bad so to speak.
Not so with Chihiro imo. We know he wasn't at the enclave and that he kinda just appeared out of nowhere and took over right? Well I'm thinking that the angel that visited Lakeview and talked with Timothy and Father Michael was in fact Chihiro himself. It says something like "A look of hatred was on his face..." As he saw the explosion so that seems in line to me with how radical Chihiro turned out and changed the course of the church. Does that make sense to anyone else?
